11 Months of John Chow dot Com Income Graphs

written by John Chow on January 1, 2008

I’m working on the December blog income report right now and figure, since it’s a brand new year, I should post a 2007 recap. Fortunately for me I didn’t have to look through my archives to get that information.

It seems a blog call 365 To Freedom has created a site call John Chow Graphs that documents my monthly income reports into nice colorful pie charts. That saves me a lot of work.

Join me now for a look back at an amazing year in making money online. It’s interesting to see how the revenue mix has changed over the course of the year.

Awesome set of graphs and progress. Will we see a six figure JC month during 2008?

mahdi yusuf January 1, 2008 at 2:47 pm

honestly!! teach me master!!! :D teach me!

Affiliate Confession January 1, 2008 at 2:52 pm

He is teaching you, read his blog and download his free ebook.

mahdi yusuf January 1, 2008 at 3:00 pm

well something more personalized, would be better!

Affiliate Confession January 1, 2008 at 7:23 pm

As busy as John probably is, I’m sure personal coaching from him would be quite expensive.

seo audit January 2, 2008 at 3:40 am

Well i;m sure that are at least 10 000 persons that want personalized training.I think we have to be happy with what we have :)

Affiliate Confession January 2, 2008 at 4:59 am

Honestly, just read his ebook. I’m sure you can figure it out from there.

Faisal January 5, 2008 at 3:10 am

Well, I think we can see 6 fig income if John can find a really good affiliate that pays high. I believe this blog can make more than it already did. I found this blog to be very interesting. keep up the good work John!

The Million Dollar Loan January 1, 2008 at 12:32 pm

Holy s#@%! That’s a lot of money!

Affiliate Marketing Podcast January 5, 2008 at 5:47 pm

Is a lot of money for John Chow though? That’s the real question.

Shaun Cartter January 1, 2008 at 12:42 pm

Those are some great charts that they put together. I’m looking forward to seeing your December earnings!

Karol Krizka January 1, 2008 at 12:58 pm

How about a graph that summarizes the entire year in one pie chart?

Pam Hoffman January 1, 2008 at 2:44 pm

From what John said, I kind of thought that’s what we were going to see!

It’s kind of fascinating to just scroll up and down to watch the changing colors.

I’ll look at it all in a bit more detail at some point, I may even print it out to see what I can learn.

Waiting for December’s results,

Pam Hoffman

Read his posts, don’t print out the graphs. :) The graphs won’t help, but his posts will help you to make more money.

mahdi yusuf January 1, 2008 at 2:48 pm

i prefer the month to month breakdown.

Adnan January 1, 2008 at 12:58 pm

Yeah I’ve been to that site before – awesome thinking behind it. I wonder if they’re making much from the Adsense they have there, and the affiliate programs that they’re promoting (which you use).

Can’t wait to see December’s income.

365 To Freedom January 1, 2008 at 1:02 pm

Maybe you should subscribe to the feed to find out

I started the case study with John Chow Graphs here, and I’ll be posting a follow up in a week or so with results.

365 To Freedom January 1, 2008 at 12:59 pm

Chalk one up for linkbait

Glad you like them, John!

MoneyNing January 1, 2008 at 4:35 pm

You have a great idea! :) Something easily done that works :)

Contest Beat January 1, 2008 at 9:52 pm

Indeed man – pretty crazy!

MyBlogContest January 1, 2008 at 12:59 pm

I guess JohnChow’s December earning is over $35,000

David Chew January 1, 2008 at 1:03 pm

He might be earning more than that.

Alan Johnson January 1, 2008 at 1:16 pm

I doubt that we will see an increase of almost $10k as far as this month’s income is concerned, that would be more than impressive, I am expecting something in the $30k range as far as his income for December is concerned.

Alan Johnson

1 Million in 365 Days January 1, 2008 at 2:40 pm

It surely must be more than that. ‘Tis the season of gift shopping.:)

Alan Johnson January 1, 2008 at 2:50 pm

True, but it’s also the season when people are busy with organizing their holidays and, as such, traffic tends to drop as far as most websites are concerned.

Alan Johnson

Alan Johnson January 1, 2008 at 3:50 pm

I’ve just taken a look at his blog income report for this month and, indeed, traffic has dropped a little, which is perfectly natural this time of year. He has managed to have similar earnings (about $25k) by earning over $100 for every 1k impressions this month.

David Chew January 1, 2008 at 1:02 pm

Great job and you really work for it.

Blogging Experiment January 1, 2008 at 1:06 pm

Very nice graphical representation of your income. I’m going to work on something similar for my site only in bar graph form so people can track the progress of my experiment.

Abdalla Ahmed January 1, 2008 at 1:17 pm

Wish my income was half of that lol!

mahdi yusuf January 1, 2008 at 2:50 pm

and i wish mine was half of that! hehe

MoneyNing January 1, 2008 at 4:36 pm

I’m sure most people will be happy with 10% of that :)

Why Your Blog Might Suck January 1, 2008 at 1:25 pm

Awesome John.

Is the TTZ media income….from clicks on YOUR site or is that an aggregate of your share of everyone’s cut?

Curious minds want to know.

John Chow January 1, 2008 at 3:01 pm

That is what the blog made from TTZ Media. It is not the income of TTZ Media.

mahdi yusuf January 1, 2008 at 3:09 pm

i love you chow, (monkey groupie right here)

Contest Beat January 1, 2008 at 9:54 pm

Hehe, yes I would hope so!

abasits January 1, 2008 at 1:37 pm

Mr. Javo January 1, 2008 at 1:47 pm

Wow great graphs. Those revenues inspires me

Seopher January 1, 2008 at 1:50 pm

It just goes to show what inspiration, know-how and enthusiasm will do for you. Of course being a little bit evil helps here and there – kudos to you John.

Steve! January 1, 2008 at 2:04 pm

That is a lot of money. All i can say is well done, you have truly risen to the top and pwned like everyone.

Allan January 1, 2008 at 2:36 pm

Wow – just love how many “other” people are able to acheive their own success through John Chow. We have this one about graphs and we also have JohnCow.com and I’m sure a bunch of other sites that are not owned by John Chow – Very good!

MoneyNing January 1, 2008 at 4:38 pm

It would be funny if Johncow.com is actually owned by John Chow :)

David Chew January 2, 2008 at 10:54 am

If he owns that then he will be earning a lot of money.

1 Million in 365 Days January 1, 2008 at 2:37 pm

Great job with those graphs. Gotta get myself updated with the reading of your blog. Anyway seeing all this just proves my point. If you have a goal for your blog, it can surely be achieved. John Chow’s blog is all about making money right? And that is what he does. I am curious to check out December’s stats. They must surpass November. After all Christmas time it’s the Buyers Season in a world of Consumers!

Cash Dominator - Money Maker January 1, 2008 at 2:46 pm

Nice to see how private ad sales sky rocketed your income John.

Affiliate Confession January 1, 2008 at 2:47 pm

Between July and August you had a huge jump in affiliate income to the tune of nearly $3,000. What did you do?

John Chow January 1, 2008 at 3:06 pm

I put a focus on affiliate marketing starting in that month. I had a look at where the big income was going to come from and affiliate marketing was it.

bob January 1, 2008 at 2:49 pm

John, great works! I believe your hard works are paid off handsomely.

I envy you!

Affiliate Confession January 1, 2008 at 2:50 pm

Cool, you got rid of Adsense between August and Sept and you still made $2,500 more.

Rohit January 1, 2008 at 3:00 pm

Rockin’ results….
I wish you a still better 08

Harry January 1, 2008 at 3:12 pm

Wow, $147565.58 in 11 months!

mahdi yusuf January 1, 2008 at 3:19 pm

someone can use a calculator.

Cash Dominator - Money Maker January 2, 2008 at 12:23 pm

Don’t be sarcastic…

Sportsrmylife January 1, 2008 at 4:23 pm

Actually it is a total of $155,265.53 for 11 months. Not a bad “part-time” business as John Chow is a massive domain king. I can’t wait to see what the final numbers for December are going to be. I’m estimating in the area of $18,000.

bodrox January 1, 2008 at 4:32 pm

i love you jhon…
love your income…

Etienne Teo January 1, 2008 at 4:35 pm

That is one lump sum that you make in 11months.

Tari Akpodiete January 1, 2008 at 5:05 pm

thanks for sharing those details, John. it’s very generous of you. i am curious as to the software you used to make the graphs. was it MS Excel or something else?

Will January 1, 2008 at 5:33 pm

hey that’s actually pretty cool to look at. and yea, the graphs really shows the ups and downs of your income sources.

Mike Huang January 1, 2008 at 5:41 pm

Those are some pretty nifty graphs John. Seems like you keep organized :)

-Mike

ATV Style January 1, 2008 at 6:29 pm

Impressive. I especially like the part about making more monthly with the “buy me a beer” donation requests than most readers make with adsense.

Daniel January 1, 2008 at 9:35 pm

Kool Charts John !!!
I Like These Kinda Pies !!!! (the money making ones…)

You are a true inspiration.

seo audit January 2, 2008 at 3:38 am

Nice stats :)

The Skinny On January January 2, 2008 at 5:40 am

Did you steal my stats?

Mike Panic January 2, 2008 at 7:22 am

I’m really curious as to why your Kontera ads are always exactly $1,000.

Cash Dominator - Money Maker January 2, 2008 at 12:26 pm

Maybe they’re paying him constantly for talking about Kontera?

Alan Johnson January 2, 2008 at 12:39 pm

Is it probably some sort of advertising agreement between John and Kontera for $1k per month, it is not income from Kontera ads.

Alan Johnson

Stephane Grenier January 2, 2008 at 8:08 am

It’s very interesting to see the movement between the different income streams! You can definitely see when private ad placements and Review Me came in. And it’s clear how much Google Adsense brought in as a percentage.

What really interested me though is how stable Text-Link-Ads are for you. They’re a consistent money earner. Not the highest, but a solid consistent earner. It really helps to explain why Google hit them so hard this year.

MoneyNing January 2, 2008 at 4:27 pm

I still don’t see why Google is penalizing text link ads. They are just being a bully :)

Alan Johnson January 2, 2008 at 4:34 pm

They consider that such links are not given as a result of the quality of the website which is being linked to. It’s just one of the things they can do as a result of being the most important player as far as search engines are concerned :)

Alan Johnson

David Chew January 2, 2008 at 10:51 am
