How to make $593 in less than one hour

IMG_5569

Sarah and I received invites to check out the Vancouver International Boat Show. I’m not into boats but Sarah is and that means I’m suddenly into it as well. The show is taking at BC Place and the False Creek Yacht Club. The size of the boat range from little inflatables to a 110 foot megayacht. In addition to the boats, the show offers fun for the whole family. There’s a Kids Zone with paddle-boat rides, boating seminars, indoor Wakeboarding demonstration and a bunch of other stuff.

Admission to the boat show is $13 for an adult and children under 16 get in free as long as their parents are with them. If you’re going to the hockey game tomorrow at GM Place, you can get into the boat show free with your Canucks ticket after 3PM. That’ll give you plenty of time to check out the boats before watching the Canucks lose.

Man, how did I know that this post was coming? Oh yeah, that’s right, by the amount of Tweets I was getting. I sounded like you were having a wow of a time.

This is so funny, I went to the Atlantic City Boat Show. It was amazing. Although it was empty. Some great yachts just like the pictures you took.

Boats are looking way more streamlined than I ever remember. All I conjure up are memories of water skiing, while eating exhaust fumes and oil floating on top of the water. My skin burned too, so I guess that says something for Lake Michigan’s pollution levels.

WOW..! The boats look great! Are you gonna buy one or ML is gonna gift you one soon? :P

That looks interesting, how many boats would you say they were able to pack into that place? What kind of boats did Sarah like? Thanks for another great post of real life in a shoes of a real blogger.

I consider boating to be cool in warm weather or better when it is hot,no doubt the jachts are beauties but I doubt whether it is really pleasant to look at them at that time of the year.

That’s a bunch of gorgeous boats there… When will you get one of those John? Or do you already have one perhaps? :p
