Here’s a little update on my weekend chat with AGLOCO founder, Akshay Mavani. I wasn’t able to get all my questions answered due to time constraint. You can imagine how busy AK must be at this point of the company’s life and I would like to thank him for taking time out to talk to me.
We will be setting up another call this weekend to get the rest of my questions answered. Here are the highlights of the chat.
AGLOCO Is 100% Member-Owned
This is stated on the AGLOCO website but what you may not realize is how true it is. When AGLOCO says the company is 100% member-owned, it means management owns zero. Management’s sole source of income from AGLOCO will come from taking 10% of Viewbar revenue. If the Viewbar makes no money, a bunch of Stanford graduates is going to be living on the street. This is management’s way of showing faith in the AGLOCO concept. If the only way you can make money is by the Viewbar, then you’re going to do whatever it take to make sure the Viewbar makes money.
Management is definitely taking a lot more risk than members. For us, this is a zero money and time commitment venture. For AK and his group, this is their future on the line.
What Happens If Someone Signs Up Without A Referral?
If someone sign ups directly to AGLOCO without a referral, then the referral goes to charity. Likewise, referrals from management also go to charity. By giving direct and management referrals to charity, management can keep their promise that their only source of income will be from the Viewbar.
I like to recommend that direct sign ups without a referral should go to me!
When Will The Viewbar Be Available?
The answer to this question will be available this weekend when I chat with AK again. In the mean time, if you haven’t already done so, go sign up.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

hmm i should promote my refferer code more i guess..
i dont have any members under me.. but in in top 16 %
maybe it has to do with sign up date hehe
To the guy above…it doesn’t.
84% of the members don’t have anyone below them. I can’t understand why. AGLOCO is easy as hell to convince people to join…
Release the Viewbar already, sheesh. That will help sign up new members a lot easier.
Ed, as someone with only 1 referral, I cannot say it has been easy to convince people as there are a lot of skeptics out there (at least the people that I have talked to).
I’m still trying though.
I have just started a blog where Im trying to figure out how to use wordpress. I have been benifiting from your past posts but Can’t seem to get adsense deluxe to work. It can not load the adsense_load.php file. I have reinstalled it a few times but for some reason it never works. I was also curious on how you made the google ads above your most current posts? And when Ive seen the xdrive ads/nikon d80 ads. Is that just a banner that you have put on your own. Or is there a place offering sell of those types of ads.
Thanks JOHN!
Google offers those ads, you just copy the code. The other ads you’re referring to are from john’s own companies ad network I believe. Can’t answer the adsense deluxe, I use mighty adsense myself.

I’m in the top 0.7%
Thanks for update John. I find your blog an nice place for AGLOCO information not found elsewhere – I really liked the Bill Gates quote – it seems to show the basic idea behind AGLOCO has merit in ‘high’ places (ie the users are creating value they are not getting)
so how much does agloco pay you for mentioning them in every 2nd post
The same amount that Google pays me to write about AdSense.
dear john,
i still have the hard time with my password,
the password they email to me not working IvQIDh, what should i do now
thanks.
I don’t understand why won’t Agloco just post this information on their blog? Why would they just give that information to certain people like you John(no offence)? My guess is that you are one of their best “affiliate” but there are other who promote Agloco, and they should’t take sides. Or am I missing something? Is this a new marketing method?
olivia,
Just email AGLOCO at help@agloco.com…
Nick – They are not taking sides. The reason AK is telling me this information is because I contacted him. AGLOCO didn’t contact me.
“Management’s sole source of income from AGLOCO will come from taking 10% of Viewbar revenue. If the Viewbar makes no money, a bunch of Stanford graduates is going to be living on the street.”
Isn’t Agloco making all the money through the viewbar?
Yes AGLOCO will make all its money via the Viewbar, but members can also make money selling AGLOCO shares once it gets listed on an exchange.
John,
What bothers me here is that you say your blog is about helping people make money, but with your continuous attempts to increase your referals you are only helping yourself. The vast majority of your readers wont make a significant amount of money propotionate to the time they put in, and will be those bottom dwellers at the bottom of the referal chain. Time is the most valuable asset anyone has and you and I both know that there are much more profitable ways the average reader of your blog can use it. You are exploiting your readers, not helping them. How can someone that donates to charities like you not have an ethical conflict with what you are doing?
-Paul
Paul – Thank you for your question. The answer is quite simple. You are correct in saying time is the most valuable asset and that is what make AGLOCO so great – there is no time commitment!
How many hours a month do you spend online? If it’s more than 5 hours then you don’t spend any extra time doing AGLOCO. When you’re online, run the Viewbar, surf like you always do and you’re in the black. The only way this can take extra time is if you don’t spend more than 5 hours a month online.
AGLOCO is something the average blog reader can do that takes no extra time and zero money. If it took a lot of time and effort, I wouldn’t be promoting it.
John,
Good info. Answers my question form my post http://www.agloconews.com/agloco-company-please-implement-this/
While it might hurt them a little in terms of members staying interested (not that I really think they have too much to worry about), I can’t fault them giving it to charity. But they might also get more press out of this too, ala your post.
Good for Agloco.
P.S. Next time you chat with Akshay ask if the charities need to surf for 5 hours
.
hi,
My querry is that i have signed agloco directly and my refarrals are 30 direct and 41 extended. you all say that it goes to charity, what it means, whether i will be able to earn as other members or not.the current rate show 3.55 %
hi,
i want to ask something.
The share the AGLOCO is giving us is free of charge or we have to pay certain money to pick it up ?
