A Night with Blogging’s Big 3 Sold Out

My webinar this Tuesday with Zac Johnson and Jonathan Volk has officially sold out. All 1,000 seats has been reserved. However, I’ve discovered that GoToMeeting continues to accept reservations after all the seats are taken. Digging a little deeper, I’ve found the 1,000 limit refers to the number of attendees the room can hold. There is no limit on how many people can register.

What this means is you might not be able to get into the room even if you’ve registered. The room is open on a first come first serve basis. Once there are 1,000 in the room, the system won’t let anyone else in unless someone leaves. I will be opening the webinar room at 7:30PM PDT. If you want to ensure you get a seat, I recommend you login at that time.

What We’ll Be Talking About

The format of the webinar wil go like this: Zac, Jonathan and I will each take turns showing you something that we have never blogged about before. I know what I am going to show. I have no idea what Zac and Jonathan are showing but I know it’s going to be great. Then we’ll open the lines to you and answer any questions you may have. You can ask us anything and we’ll give you a straight answer. Want us to look at your blog and make recommendations? No problem. Want to know how many posts you get if you start a blog? We know!

Remember, this is a sales pitch free webinar. We don’t have anything to sell you at the end. We will answer questions until it’s time to say good night. As I write this post, we have over 1,100 people registered to attend and there are still four more days to go. I estimate we’ll be over 1,500 by webinar day. The room only holds 1,000 so get there early. We will see you on Tuesday!

With only 1000 seats, no wonder it is sold out.

    1. Kate Kutny says:

In a way it’s good that John did this, because it makes people want to sign up more when they know there is only a limited amount of seats. It’s a smart way to market.

      1. Yes if you wont mention anything than people are not going to be in hurry …

Certainly a nice move and all marketers use this tactic.

        1. d3so says:

brings on a sense of urgency. I always knew they accept over 1000 registrations. the actual webinar is limited to only 1000

    2. Yep with the big 3 lists and social marketing, you can image it.

      1. I thought Shoemoney was one of the big 3?

        1. d3so says:

I guess he declined the invitation.

  2. Lucky.. I already registered. Looking forward your webinar John..

    1. mike says:

me too. almost as soon as John announced it. like the caricature at the end of the post. cool 🙂

  3. Thanks god I saved my seat.

    1. Abhik says:

      Lucky you.. 🙂

      1. Abhik … you did not book a seat ?

    2. Same like me.. thanks god. the big 3

    3. d3so says:

  4. AffDaily says:

Already registered. Love these caricatures! 🙂

    1. PPC Ian says:

I registered too! Agreed that the caricatures are cool! I’m a big fan of well done caricatures, such as these ones on John Chow.

      1. Lets see … would love to see funny comments in between Zac and John.

Boy this one is sounding great … ZAC AND JOHN

  5. Lakhyajyoti says:

I have already reserved a seat.

  6. Kate Kutny says:

Yeah me too. I’m glad I got a seat as well. I know this webinar will be great and well worth it.

  7. jpassmore says:

That’s pretty lame actually. So registering does nothing now? It’s all based on if you happen to be at least person #1000 who clicks a link?

    1. John Chow says:

Well, if you don’t register, there no link for you to click. 🙂

      1. jpassmore says:

Well technically yea, registering does THAT. From reading some of the comments though people still seem to think they have a seat secured just because they registered already…

  8. Kate Kutny says:

John, by the way I love the Caricatures by Dukeo.com He is a great artist. I will have to have him create me one sometime. I’m glad you got to share that as well. Because I was actually going to write you personally and ask you who creates these “caricatures” for you. 🙂

    1. Dukeo says:

Just to make it clear, these caricatures are not at all made for John Chow, they are made for Dukeo.com 🙂

      1. Kate Kutny says:

That’s cool. You make really nice Caricatures by the way. Hopefully maybe one day you could make one of me if I get popular enough? But anyways, awesome artwork.

      2. PPC Ian says:

The Dukeo caricatures are really great. The one of John Chow in a convertible is really funny. Duke, who’s your artist?

      3. Hi your caricature look awesome!! Very talented person!!

        1. Ah I’m sorry I read your post, you was paid someone to do the caricature.

  9. Fazal Mayar says:

Not really a surprise, I expected this to sold out as well as 1000 seats isn’t that much.

  10. Abhik says:

I’ll wait for the replay 🙂

    1. John Chow says:

You’ll be waiting forever. The webinar will not be recorded.

      1. Abhik says:

        $H!t..!!
Anyway, won’t you blog a followup?

        1. John already announce this one.

          1. Yeah he announced.

In his recent dot com pho he also announced that more than 1200+ people registered and I am sure at the moment this also increased.

You will be able to get chance whenever any one leave the webinar in between.

        1. Fazal Mayar says:

because a webinar is online….nobody can really record that besides with a recording software. This isnt an event at some place….it’s WEBinar.

          1. That’s what I meant, using a recording software.
