When I think of Mexican food, Bellevue is not a town that comes to mind. However, Bellevue is home to one of ten Taqueria El Rinconsito restaurants. Founded in 1997, Taqueria El Rinconsito opened their first restaurant in Burien, Washington. Since then, they have expanded into ten locations throughout Washington State.
Taqueria El Rinconsito is a fast paced, family oriented establishments, serving really good Mexican dishes cafeteria style. You order your food much like a fast food establishment like McDonald’s. However, Instead of waiting for your order at the counter, you’re given a number and asked to place it at your table. When your food is ready, a waitress will bring it out to you. She finds you based on your number.
The menu at Taqueria El Rinconsito offers a large selection of favorite Mexican dishes. Everything from their popular soft shell tacos and nachos to delicious specialties, seafood, and yummy desserts. The prices are very reasonable and the food quality is very high. This creates quite a lineup at lunch time. The wait to order our lunch was longer than the time it took to cook it.
Lunch for four came to only $10 per person. The standout items were the taco and Quesadilla. Both are made with your choice of chicken, pork or beef. We tried the Quesadilla with pork but sampled all the meats for the tacos. They tasted better than many high end Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Don’t let the fast food layout fool you. Taqueria El Rinconsito is an authentic Mexican restaurant serving some of the best Mexican dishes in Pacific Northwest.

John,
It’s great to find real, authentic Mexican restaurants. As long as the food is quality, I don’t mind waiting in line or for the food.
Can’t wait to see what the next type of restaurant that you visit next will be. There’s a place by me that serves great Viking food.
I agree, authentic Mexican restaurants are the best.
The food looks delicious, especially the taco plate.
I was JUST thinking the other day that I don’t know of any authentic Mexican restaurants in BC like I find in the United States. I’m definitely going to go down there, always love a good taco!
Dona Cata in Vancouver is pretty authentic, if you happen to be out this way.
I am sooo hungry. I should have not visited your blog today. Now the only thing I can think about is a enchilada style wet burrito. GULP!
I want the tacos in picture number 2 ASAP
Love the idea of Mexican food and the service of bringing it to your table. Yummy!
They operate a similar service at Nando’s
John,
Another great choice for eating out. Wish there was a decent restaurant where I currently live. Thx for the post and restaurant update.
Mexican food is SOOO delicious. BUT…….incredibly high in calories. Especially food from the lower quality Mexican restaurants. I have never ate at Rinconsito’s but it Looks VERY good. Especially the tacos.
That’s true, calories can be high! But, it’s totally worth it.
I think I’m going to eat Mexican food for lunch tomorrow!

Food looks delicious, yet the price seems quite value compared to what you usually eat John.
Give their quesadillas a try and let me know how they are John.
That looks absolutely delicious. I need to find some blogs covering food the way you do for my area!
Although I’m currently in so-Cal where good Mexican food is never further away than a Starbucks is in downtown Seattle (where I’ve stood in one spot and seen no less than 6). When I get back to mini-Vancouver (the one by Portland), I’ll be missing the tacos for sure.
I’m in Montgomery, Alabama, there is NOTHING as far as good mexican is concerned!
Looks like some great Mexican food! I’m a huge fan of Mexican food, especially tacos and burritos. I have Mexican food at least a few meals each week.
