A Very Special Dot Com Pho Public Service Announcement

I’ll be back in Vancouver this weekend for Dot Com Pho. It will be at the usual Happy Pho restaurant at 4136 Main Street at 12:30. Please reply to me on Twitter if you can make it and I’ll save you a seat.

Just because I’ve been away from Vancouver doesn’t mean Dot Com Pho ends. In fact, the weekly meetup continues no matter where I am. However, getting the word out about the Happy Pho meetup seems to be a problem. With that in mind, I like to bring you this very special Dot Com Pho public service announcement.

Dot Com Pho still happened this week, but many of the regulars were busy doing other things. Yes, there is life outside of pho. Even so, Michael Kwan takes a moment to provide a brief Dot Com Pho public service announcement. Follow @DotComPho on Twitter for the latest updates!

See you at Dot Com Pho this Saturday!

What’s the most people ever too show up for a single Pho event?

    1. John Chow says:

I think it was over two dozen.

      1. Michael Kwan says:

That sounds about right. I think it was 20-something, almost 30?

        1. wow…you’ll soon have to rent out the place for the event…

          1. 25 people including Yaro Starak showed up at Lan’s on May 10, 2008.

          2. Hey that was great finding my friend.

Thanks for finding precious pearl from John’s Ocean.

      2. Alex Dumitru says:

I thought more people are coming ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. Sure there will be more coming. If it were in my place, I will surely join the pho meeting.

          1. Hey John,

I’m attending the Canada Market Summit now which started Thursday morning and will go on till Sunday evening.

I’ll see if I can show up briefly on Saturday but it won’t be easy as Lee McIntyre is speaking that day before lunch which incidentally starts at 12:30 too.

I had a chat with Lee McIntyre today. He was there the whole day listening to all 4 speakers and then was at the networking room after 7 p.m.

Today was as great day, all speakers were superb.
Since this is from morning to night every day I’ll blog asbout the event after it’s over.

          2. I meant Canada Marketing Summit.

Three of the speakers were millionaire internet marketers and Vancouverites, Colin Weibe, Dan Lok and Riel Roussopoulos.

          3. John Chow says:

Ya, I was asked to speak at the Canada Marketing Summit but I had already committed to speaking at the Performance Marketing Expo in Miami.

          4. Would love to see that video … so do not forget to carry your camera and other tools.

      3. d3so says:

I wonder how many will attend due to this announcement.

        1. Not sure how many but this will surely make the group bigger.

          1. Everything starts from the small number …

  2. Earl says:

Ok, I’m following you guys now. I got to go to one Dot Com Pho so far and am eager to attend more once I clear up a few things in my schedule to allow me to attend more often.

    1. That’s great Earl, it was nice to meet you there few weeks ago.

    2. d3so says:

Yeah, I think I saw you in one video.
Having you there is like having another Ed; very entertaining ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Hey Earl we still remember that Apple store video.

We are sure your presence will make dot com pho video more attractive and interesting

        1. Yeah. that’s true.. Never saw Earl active in dot com pho. It will be great to see both Ed and Earl together. They are like brother too ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. It looked like he was in Miami. It said he was in Vacouver though :(.

    1. John Chow says:

I am flying to Miami this Sunday.

      1. San Diego, Seattle, Vancouver, and Miami on deck…i would be exhausted…

        1. d3so says:

Yeah, it takes a great deal of stamina to travel that much.

          1. Nope …

Do you think San Diego event was exhaustive … nope this one was refreshing and charging.

          2. Abhik says:

when there’s money involved, nothings too exhaustive ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. John, what should I do to assist a Dot Com Pho?…ยก I really want!

    1. Gonzalo, I’m sure you meant attend. The word similar to asistir – assist has a different meaning in English. Assist in English has a meaning similar to ayudar in Spanish.

    2. d3so says:

Just RSVP with John or Michael through twitter.
Are within the Vancouver area in Canada?

  5. This dot com pho is quite old but why so much fluctuations in numbers.

I mean John you know how to organise things and even than numbers are not fixed and very fluctuating.

For this kind of get together we should see a rising graph of attendee.

    1. Abhik says:

Right.. And, only 25 people for a event like that is too low.

  6. fas says:

2 dozen is not much considering this blog gets 1000000 of readers.

    1. Yes … I think John should think about it …

If they are inviting every one than numbers should increase.

  7. Abhik says:

    So.. it’s today.
Do let us know how it went.

    1. I am sure you will be able to see new video today or tomorrow when you will woke up.

    2. Michael Kwan says:

There were six of us, if I recall correctly.

  8. Unless your going to have one in GA or FL I won’t be attending one for a while. Unless I take a wrong turn somewhere.

Would love to attend a event though. Now’s the perfect time to hold one in the SE US… at least you don’t need gills to breathe outside like during the summer.

  9. Essays says:

25 visitors showed up. I see they are making good money from them ๐Ÿ™‚ It all due to you John. You are very popular. I see, everybody wanna make money online.
