Affiliate Summit East - The Show Floor

written by John Chow on August 12th, 2008

The show floor on the Affiliate Summit has over 100 booths for you to check out. Pretty much any company that has anything to do with the affiliate marketing industry in here. It’s a great way to catch up with some of the ad networks that I deal with and meet new ones.

With so many knowledge sessions going on though out the show, finding time to walk the show floor can be a daunting task. However, we managed to find an hour in between the sessions to check out the floor. Here’s a video highlight featuring the Market Leverage “Cashinator” and a few other stuff. Look for more videos later.

That is really cool, i would love to go to one of those show floors and visit all the booths. Sounds like you had a lot of fun, especially in that money machine catching all that cash. haha.

I had managed to score a couple of press passes for benjaminpatton.com ended up being unable to attend due to a conflict in schedule on my part. Hotelier training camp which is a must have deal for promotion at my chain. The raise more than makes up for it, but still not getting to meet John and many other affiliate marketers kinda sucks.

Next Year For Sure!

There’s a trick to the Cashinator, or any other money grab machine. Stand with your feet in a stance and the palms of your hands facing the floor, but still close to each other. The air pushes the money up right towards you and then stash as much in your pockets as you can, and keep repeating the process until it stops. I picked up about $500 using this method in one of those things.

Great to see Market Leverage representing with the Cashinator. Didn’t really get the last part since I couldn’t recognize the people but still, great video!

John,
Great video, you can send the $27 to me. LOL

BTW, the video at YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztyyBK8maNg has a link johnchw.com, that forwards to the Rich Jerk website. Is this correct or were you linking to your blog johnchow.com?

I was looking at The Cashinator & it reminded me of something.

There was this show in the UK called “The Crystal Maze” that I used to watch when I was a kid. At the end, the teams had to go in something EXACTLY like The Cashinator [there were two of them], but instead of collecting money, they were collecting pieces of paper that were shaped just like dollar bills. The team that collected the most were the winners. With the way the teams jumped around in them, you would’ve thought that it was money they were collecting, ha.

I have no idea if anyone at Market Leverage ever watched that show, but it was cool to see this idea used in a different way.

Hey John,

Good to meet you at ASE. I failed to take a single picture the whole event, but thanks to your shot at Ian’s dinner, I DO HAVE PROOF that I made it to Boston, haha. Nah…it was a good time.

Hopefully bump into you again at ASW!
