The show floor is where all the action of the Affiliate Summit West happens. With over 5,000 attendees, the 2012 Affiliate Summit is the biggest ever. The show floor was packed on the opening day. In fact, it was so packed, we decided to wait towards the end of the day before trying to go in.
You can find nearly every company that has anything to do with the affiliate marketing industry on the show floor. The exhibit hall offers a great way catch face to face with some of the affiliate networks. When it comes to building relationships, face to face networking is still where it’s at and a show like the Affiliate Summit is a great place to do it.
With the iPhone video camera in hand, Syed and I went into the big hall to see what kind of trouble we can get into.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...
One of my highlights was having dinner with Syed, @johnchow and @shoemoney ..... and none of us had to pay. Also learned quite a bit from those guys. Some things I'd defnitely employ. Others were for a good laugh.
