Affiliate Summit West - ShareASale Party
written by John Chow on February 25th, 2008
I’m pretty sure I had a bit too much to drink at the ShareASale party last night because I don’t remember making this video. Well, I remember making the video. I just don’t remember editing it or processing it. Except for misspelling ShareASales on the title (sorry guys) I think I did pretty good job on it.
The ShareASale party was held last night at the Sky Villa of the Palms hotel. The 9,500 square foot penthouse was something to behold. It’s as over the top as you can get in Vegas. I would have loved to use this suite for my party at CES but couldn’t justify the $40,000 per night price tag. During Affiliate Summit, the room cost “only” $20,000.

John,
Reply to this commentOut of all the things about you, I think you must have an amazing wife that lets you get away with all this.
she is there with him the whole time. nice lady, john is a nice guy in person as well, cool to have met you John.
Reply to this commentI was thinking the same thing! Not to mention how he mispelled the title, and casually says it’s because he was drunk. John, you rock. *=)
Reply to this commentNice video John!
Reply to this comment…and doesn’t let you fall from that roof! Great video - Thanks!
Reply to this commentThanks for giving a peak at the washroom. What’s the first thing I would do at a $40,000 per night suite? I would start with a long, cold shower. Keep up the good work, John.

THe first thing I would do is re-read John’s post on charging expenses to the company!
Reply to this commentWow what a party!
Reply to this commentyou definitely weren’t too drunk, you didn’t go for a swim in the pool:P Awesome looking place though but at 40K it’s definitely too much for the average person to pay for.
People like john can.
Reply to this commentI can only say “WOW!!!” This penthouse is simply great!! The shower room, bath tub, a pool, great sight view, sauna and everything else is simply a blow–away. Perhaps I’m reacting too extremely, like a caveman visiting New York city… LOL…
Reply to this commentJohn,
I would like to feature you on my new blog. Would that be ok?
Reply to this commentIt was great to meet you and your wife at the party. I’m glad you captured all that video, because I didn’t take nearly enough photos.
Reply to this commentWow that suite is incredible! I vote you move TTZ Media party to there next year. Just pick up a couple more sponsors to pay the tab
Reply to this commentLooks like you and everyone had fun.
Reply to this commentHe does.
Reply to this commenti missed out on some fun stuff there.
Reply to this commentLooks like you and everyone had a fun time at the party and that’s a very nice suite. It’s nice they got a “deal” on it. A few more sales should cover the total.
Thanks for sharing the video, but isn’t everything that happens in Vegas supposed to stay in Vegas?
I’ll be looking forward to find out what else happened during the summit.

He didn’t show you “everything” that happened.
Reply to this commentAhhh, so very true, we did not see “everything”, but we did see “something” which means “everything” did not stay in Vegas.
Although I would have liked to have seen more of what happened during the course of the party and the summit itself. Maybe John has some other video he is saving for future blog posts. John?
And maybe next time invite a few of us to the party John.

How i wish i’m on ShareASale party, hehehe… it that an open house party by the way?
Reply to this commentWhat was up with the stream of water coming down from the ceiling in the bathroom? That was hilarious.
Definitely a nice suite, but at that price it’s probably only good for corporate functions or a casino whale that gets everything comped anyway.
Reply to this commentThat’s a huge room. It could hold a ton of people and you could have a kick ass party.
John you should have stayed there for $40K, all you would need to do is throw a kick ass party and charge $100 per person, so if 400 people show up then it will cover the $40K, but if you get 600 people then you will make a $20K profit.
I bet you could easily pull something like this off!
Reply to this commentAlways good times to be had in vegas. I’m still sad i couldn’t make it this year! Looks like you had enough fun for the both of us.
Reply to this commentTypical trade show/exhibition sausage fest
Reply to this commentI can’t believe nobody was in the pool. I guess the drinks were keeping you all busy.
Reply to this commentSOB…I want to meet the money maker too

Reply to this commentHey John, yes, I will vouch for you that you were drunk.

Reply to this commentPretty much for a room.
Reply to this commentThat’s a pretty nice looking room with great views. Looks like the party was fun too.
Reply to this commentPretty cool room there. I think I did see some people in the Palms next door with binoculars while you were taking a tour through the bathroom.
Reply to this commentyou were right about the suite, it was huge — almost too big to be “comfy.” it was more like a hotel lobby!
