This is the first time I was able to celebrate two Thanksgiving holidays, and I got to tell ya, the United States Thanksgiving celebration blows away anything Canada can put on. As much as I love Canada, the Thanksgiving there just doesn’t compare.
I think this has to with the fact that Americans actually knows what their Thanksgiving is about – the 1621 celebration at Plymouth by the first Pilgrims. Ask ten Canadians what Canada’s Thanksgiving is about and you’ll get blank stares. To us, it’s just another holiday.
Hopefully, I don’t go crazy on the turkey. I heard that US hospitals see a huge increase in Gallbladder operations the day after Thanksgiving than any other day. You should eat well, but also eat safe. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanksgiving is something I would like to experience. It seems like Christmas but without the presents. I live in Australia and don’t know any Americans who celebrate it. Is this holiday more important than Christmas?
