I thought I would give you a sneak peak at the new TTZ Price Index. This is a page from the current price index showing digital cameras. I select which products to display and I update the prices every Tuesday and Friday. The updating is done with the push of a button. The index has served me quite well and the readers really like it. They view it as a service instead of advertising.
This is the new price index showing digital cameras. Unlike the old price index, where only a handful of products are shown, the new price index shows every single product the TTZ Media Network represents (over 100,000). The old price index was updated twice a week. The prices on the new index are updated every 15 minutes. The biggest price drops are shown on the front page.
In case you’re wondering, Auphan Online is a test bed for the new custom Content Management System (CMS) that will power the next version of The TechZone. Among its many features (besides the new price index) are integrated photo gallery and forums. It’s costing a pretty penny to code but I think the end results will be worth it.
