I got a bit of Déjà vu when I heard that Apple lost an iPhone 5 prototype in a bar. You would think they would have banned their engineers from going into bars with unreleased iPhones after the iPhone 4 prototype got lost and ended up in the hands of Gizmodo.
Apple wants their iPhone 5 back and they want it back NOW. They’ve even made a commercial about it. If you’re the guy with Apple’s missing iPhone, I recommend you return it now. You don’t know who you’re messing with.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

I’m the one who has it!!
You lost it friend … Now I am having it …
Thanks to your girl friend who sold to me when you are not paying her shopping bills … lollzzz
I found it and sold it to the Chinese, so from tomorrow can we buy it for $ 5.
hehe…so true. Chinese can make copy of everything.
haha Conan is so funny Apple needs to use there GPS tracking to find out where its at!
What if the iPhone is turned off, GPS tracking won’t work then will it?
I doubt that they’d allow anybody taking it to a bar.
LOL. After the first incident they still have not learned their lesson. Anyway if the person who picks up the phone switch it OFF, I doubt any GPS can trace it. Good luck to Apple
I do not think that they have lost iPhone 5 … this is just they are making fun of last incident when iPhone 5 is about to launch …
Oh will miss Steve on presentation.
Or, may be this is just another publicity gimmick
its me its me, i have it
Shhhh … dont shout like a kid …
Keep it in your inner pocket … may be we can sell the design to Nokia …
Yeah, true.
Or maybe Google will be ready for buying it at any price.
That totally sucks for Apple. Drinking and iphones do not mix. Flesh eating fire ants huh?
genital torture .
that would be scary..haha
but seriously, how on earth did Apple loss it prototype, very weird for a big company like that. or is it some sort of marketing gimmicks.. nah..
It is, indeed
They got huge media hype when last iPhone lost … so may be they want to capitalise it again …
Everybody will think in that manner …
yeh, but i cant wait to look at how awesome does this new i phone really is…
hope it really cool..
some people said it will released on 21 october.. i don’t know. any info??
LOL. I’ll be waiting for the torturing video.
I doubt you’ll get any
Really Interesting News. I just read it and get surprised that how it is possible. They just lost their iPhone 5 prototype in a bar!
lol
it’s another marketing technique from apple..
I wouldnt be surprised at all if thats was the case
Agree, it’s all marketing. Definitely a good way to promote the iPhone 5. I’m looking forward to the iPhone 5 coming out, but probably won’t get it since I have the iPhone 4. Then again, maybe I will go for it!
Hey Ian,
It seems that you really want iPhone 5 and are in the process of rationalizing getting it.
everyone wants the iPhone5, its a new gadget from Apple, its a clear choice
(me too)
Every newspaper and blog writing about this all around the world this week, more advertising can they not get. Is this the new way to advertise cheaply.
Such interesting News, i like it.
This video has gone super viral.
Yeah!! It is
So fun with the music and gestures ahah!
I agree that’s self-deprecating is a good marketing strategy, kind of reminding me the “finally” released white iPhone 4. I think it supports the power of collective mindset necessary to Apple for establishing a brand personnality where Steve Jobs is “less” present. (beside the fact that I think that since he resigned from ceo, his impact takes a bigger dimension than ever)
lol!!
I am sure it’s with Gizmodo again..
If Apple really want it back (or, may be this is a publicity gimmick), they should politely ask Gizmodo :p
Whoever has that iPhone 5 better give it back now!
iPhone 5 is to be released in October. That lost prototype has been replaced by an even better one and the iPhone 5 is already being mass produced.
Whoever has the old prototype will find it useless pretty soon.
yep you are right but this is purely a marketing tactic
Just one big PR stunt to blame the delay of the launch of the new iPhone 5.
I also think so. Well, if they can’t release it, they just need to say it.
Yes, absolutely true.
Haha – thanks a funny commercial!
Yeah indeed it’s!
LOL. I’m beginning to think this ‘losing iPhone prototypes’ is nothing but effective viral marketing haha
they would not get it back… because they never lost it
Yes, true. It’s just a marketing stunt.
I don’t think Apple will find it, ha ha.
Marketing stunt. Apple probably reads John Chow on how to do it.
Interesting news.
Really Interesting News.
The employee in question must have been fired. That just makes it easy for some other brand to pirate the iPhone 5′s features before it even hit mass production. Or the prototype could be sitting in someone’s altar.
As I said, this must be a marketing stunt. And the timeframe is to short to make a copy of the iPhone 5. And even if they can, in my country I never saw a iPhone 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 copy so far in the stores. I don’t see why this would be any different with the iPhone 5
I agree that it seems to be a marketing tactics.
Very funny, I watched this last night. This is the second time an Apple employee has lost an iPhone prototype in a bar, now I’m starting to think its some form of marketing strategy to increase the hype on the iPhone 5′s release.
I don’t think they will find it.
I don’t think Apple will get back it.
Guys I have been keeping mum. Actually I am launching my own brand of iphone next month. Its called “” ORANGE”" . Actually dont say to anybody its based on IPHONE 5 prototye
Yes, now many companies has develop many other sets like iPone.
well microsourcing you are right that employee in question must have been fired and they just makes it easy for some other brand to pirate the iPhone 5′s features before it even hit mass production.
And this article is a TECHNOGIES and may be submitted at Technogies.
Apple product its a really superb product am using all the gadgets of apple only
I strongly doubt… it is there some kind of market gimmick? why on the earth they allowed someone to take the phone in the bar when the same story happened with earlier version of iphone?
