Are You Ready To Kill It?

Build Your Online Business Now

One of the best keynote at the 2008 Blog World Expo came from Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV. I first met Gary at the Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas. He was part of a panel on video marking. It was largely because of Gary that I’ve started putting up more and more videos on this blog.

Gary is a very passionate guy who loves helping people. His keynote at Blog World was both informative and inspirational. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get it on video. Fortunately, I found the keynote (thanks to Ted at IZEA) that he gave at the Web 2.0 Expo that was pretty much the same message as the one at Blog World. Gary’s message is very clear and simple. I hope you take it to heart and use it to move forward.

Nothing can beat hard work. This is a hell of a speech by Gary! Congrats! Good video post!

Everything this guy says is true. I took the dive 4 months ago - quit my full time job after I had built my hedge fund blog up to 5,000 pageviews a day and I'm surviving. Things are going great now but it was a huge risk and took a SHIT load of work. It took so much work that when people say I'm lucky I just say yes I am, not because I am, but because I am lukcy to know that if you work hard enough you can do whatever you want for work and wake up to not having a boss.

If I didn't know, I might guess this guy for a meth user :-) So much of what he said in this video are thing's I've really had on my mind, but haven't been able to get out into the air. It's nice to hear this stuff. Still, It's very scary to think about lifestyle change. But I think that this is what it's going to take to wake up the up and coming generation. Key points I took from this - Turn off the T.V. (or as I call it - the pacifier of the masses), Work hard. Everyone I talk to is in a funk. They're not happy, but they're not motivated enough to put the work into changing their situation.

Overall , this is a breath of fresh air, and a kick in the but to get something done, aka - Kill It

The guy is really funny but got a clear and direct to the point opinion. I learn a lot, honesty and work that's all on it. Nice Gary and good job John for this video. Thanks.

I heard it man. If you want it dude, get to work!

all i have to say is wow. Very encouraging words im going to definitely post a link to this on my blog

At the start of the video, his favorite word is "Shit"...

All throughout the video, He keeps on sitting.. why?

Good speech and very inspiring - but a little repetitive. He made the same point over and over and over again. His obvious passion and style of speaking is the most interesting thing about him.

This vid is motivational speaking Raw :) Tell it like it is ..

Simple video for me to understand, great job! I am ready to kill ^^

Good gus keeps revealing themselves with days.thanks for telling us about him.

I like what he had to say. Straight to the point & no BS. I hate it when someone tries to be a motivational speaker when they're really just full of it. Gary clearly isn't like that.

John,

BlogWorld Expo 2008 was awesome.

I'm the 'new reader' at the Market Leverage dinner at Envy Steakhouse, who complained that Micheal Kwan crashed a Segway v2.0. You were waving that huge wad of cash around, that belonged to Tyler Cruz from the Market Leverage 'Cashinator Challenge'.

I was also, 'the video guy' at BlogWorld Expo 2008.

I blogged about our dinner together as Market Leverage's guest's here:

I've only been blogging for three months, and to meet you and Shoemoney in person was a huge encouragement to my on-line business growth. Even though he was late to the SuperPanel and we screamed "Shoemoney You Suck" when he finally arrived.

Zac Johnson also offered to help me, what a cool community of bloggers you have created and are supporting. Now if I could just figure out all this Affiliate Marketing / SEO / monetizing stuff, I can donate a seat at next year's #BWE2009!

Thanks John, you are the real deal, and I will never forget your kindness at #BWE08.

Respectfully, Nicholas

This is the first time I heard that you guys told Shoemoney he sucked. That's hilarious!

He is a good person..

Hey John, I was able to get the keynote at Blog World Expo with Gary, and have a flash version and higher quality AVI for people - http://xfep.com/conference/gary-vaynerchuks-keynot...

I saw this video a couple of days ago. It was an amazing speech. I'm surprised he didn't have many questions. I guess everyone was just so blown away, it left them all speechless.

Gary Vaynerchuk is really an excellent high energy and very motivational speaker. His message this time was branding and work. OK, whatever... he did what he could with the super tech saavy crowd and did not go head to head with techno speak... he motivated. And I left this 15 minutes with a TRAINLOAD of side ideas that this sparked. Thanks Johnny for dropping some "vintage Gary" on us. Cheers all.

"Stop watching fucking lost!" Man that guy is awesome. Brings a lot of motivation and the key message is: "work hard!"

If your in business and you want to make money then everything you do essentially has a $ tagged to it. YOu have to do that which enhances something. Watching series, weather channel, and pretty much everything else has pretty much a $0 ROI. Focus on the important and that which will help you reach your goals.

I agree with you 100%.

I normally hate these kind of things. But this guy was very good and I'm going to continue to work on building my brand and working hard!!

I love this guys passion for this Sh1t. He is a real motivator that tells it like it is. His entire body language speaks of success and a talent in the art of convincing articulation.

Bravo, I am going to "Kill it" now!

:)

He sure knows how to present!

I want what he is drinking. :)

Gary made his point there ... Striking message. I heard he is coming down to Coral Glades to autograph on his new book for readers..

WOW! That's strong message sending to me!

This is my first time to hear about him. Don't like the S words he is using, but he made the points!

Gary is such a great motivational speaker. I am hoping I can find a video of his keynote at BlogWorld, it was really good and I would love to see it again. He is going to be the keynote speaker of Affiliate Summit West in January.

Ya. some people can speak in such a way to really give you energy to do almost anything.

Hi John , you have captured some amazing speakers at the Blog World Expo....there is a lot that can be learned from your videos..Thanks for sharing these with us.

This guy is simply awesome.
