Back On The Lab with Leo Laporte

My first interview with Leo Lab Laporte went so well, the show has invited me back for another interview. This time I’ll be discussing Google AdSense. We’ll be talking about what AdSense is and how you can make money with it.
I’m making this post before we start taping because there’s an off chance that this post might show up on the big TV screen. If that’s the case, I’ll be scrolling down to the comment section and giving you all a chance to have you comments show up on Leo’s show.

Didn’t I see that John made $800 last month with Adsense (out of a total $12,500)? He’s making a bucket of money with all the other features on his site. Why talk about the bottom 6.5% of your income stream?

Hi John, prob missed the show but i just wanted to add my 2 cents.
I think Google adsense is somewhat overrated, and i think they have a poor payout amount compared to programs like text link ads or commission junction. I used to rely on google ads heavily but removed them because they would keep showing things that had nothing to do with my site content or would be ads for the competition. I now use targeted ads which work much better.
Google Ads are highly targetted and contextual based. As far as them showing ‘ads for the competition’, that is what the Google Adsense competitive ad filter is for!! You need to learn how to use Google Adsense before bashing it.
I agree, made the same experience.

Nice. Not many people need to be told about adsense at this point, but its good to educate people about it.
Leo seemed pretty amazed at John’s blog stories and revenue — like he couldn’t believe blogging can be so lucrative. I’m sure The Lab and it’s viewers could still learn a thing or two about Adsense (that they don’t already know about).

This is Simon. In my blog, I talk about Google AdSenese too but too bad it’s in Chinese. Anyway, JohnChow is the master of Google AdSense and other ads networks. Just ask him, he will tell you how to make money online. I learned a lot form him and some of his techniques work in Chinese blog too.
