Beautiful Women Are Traffic Magnets

I was told that having beautiful women on a website could really help to increase web traffic. This seems to make sense. After all, guys like looking at beautiful women and women like looking at beautiful women as well. If this was not true, then women’s magazines would not contain as many of pictures of women as the men’s magazines do.
I know that over The TechZone, our biggest traffic day is always the E3 Booth Babe Report. That got me thinking. Can the traffic increase via beautiful women work for a blog? With that in mind, I like to present the following.

Very interesting test John. The smartest Myspace spammers use pictures of beautiful women in their profile. The difference in how many friends a fake profile with a hot chick in it is very substantial. Along with the traffic to a site posted by the hot chick profile.
But i think you will find that even if traffic is increased significantly, it will convert very poorly. Because the users are looking for more pics of hot babes, not what’s on your adverts.
Reply to this commentYou are right Dru. This is why on The TechZone we also run CPM ads in the babe gallery. Don’t have to worry as much about conversion that way.

You have some interesting posts on your site for which I would like to thank you.
At the same time, I’d like to request that you pay more attention to your English grammar. Seriously, “beautiful womAn are traffic magnets”? You wouldn’t get a C- in grade 8 English with that!
Oh, and maybe you could tone down the whole “I’m as hot as a McDonalds coffee” dot-com mogul bragging thing. It really only sounds good if you say it once. To an accidental visitor (which I am) after reading your site for 15 minutes, and stumbled across at least 4 occurences of ego-stroking, it starts to look overdone. Then again, if that makes you look bigger and more important to the people who pay for your tix to see factories in China or send free swag for reviews - I guess the readership will just have to live with it, and more power to you.
