Biggest ReviewMe Day Yet
written by John Chow
With a just a day left in the month, it looks like a bunch of advertisers are doing some last minute ReviewMe buys in order to take advantage of the 50% coupon ReviewMe has running this month. So far today, I have received three ReviewMe review requests - that’s more review requests than I received for the entire month of January.
I want to get these reviews punched out before month end so they’re included in my February recap numbers. Expect one later tonight and two more tomorrow. If you wish to take advantage of the half price review offer, you have to get your order in before the end of this month. A review on this blog goes to back to $250 in March.
Anyone else gets a bunch of ReviewMe orders?

Wow that shouldl be a good whack of cash at the end of the month!!
Not to mention a crunch session in front of the comp hammering these reviews away. Because knowing John, he takes pride in each review.
I wouldn’t want to get a review done at this time - if 5 reviews come up on the 28th, then it gets diluted in terms of exposure.. I’d rather sit at the top post for 8 hours than 2.
You’re definitely gonna break your record again this month !
You rock its natural that all wants a review on your blog
I got two this month (one yesterday) but unfortunately they don’t pay as much as they do for your blog
but that’s fine, I’ll take whatever comes my way.
John all your guest bloggers are either Novelists or script writers why are you trying to make us sleep. Please post on yor own blog instead of throwing stones at Pandas and killing bees. Your posts are small and nice to read
I know guest blogging is a nice fad, but try to make the posts managable.
I agree. Your guest bloggers wrote pieces that did not mesh well.
Why they didn’t display typos or bad grammar… You’ve got an image to up hold here John!
uh oh. I was wondering when those criticisms would come..
YOU WERE KILLING PANDAS, JOHN??? WHAT THE HELL???
Have to say we had a fantastic response after Johns review of bla.st - Well worth doing if anyone is considering it.
Cheers,
Tim
I know that the reviews gives good money, but are they really interesting to us (readers)? We all must remember, that is us (readers) that make a blog be popular. Has a reader one thing that i want to ask is when you do reviews, please don’t get too much “off-topic”, there are really boring reviews, and “ActiveRain” was one of them!
I think you will like the next one. Totally related to what I talk about.
You mean you wouldn’t like a review of the OhMiBod???
By you?
As long as you include pictures on the proper use of the device.
Keep wishing…
weren’t you supposed to do a video review of it???
It’s not what i said
. There are reviews and “reviews”
Seems you have a lot of work John! that´s great, good for you!
Great boost for the month end John. Congrats! Hopefully they pick up each month…
Where is your other two reviews
Yep, John Chow is the “Review Man“. I’m not surprised that you got so many requests, I won’t be if you get a lot more in March.

Actually, John doesn’t really need guest writers for his blog. Wordpress can schedule entries almost forever. He could write them before he goes away, the blog software keeps posting them at intervals, all he has to do is check nothing gets screwed up. I did that for one of my unknown blogs, (unfortunately, I didn’t check! That wasn’t good, because it got all screwed up!)
But that strategy should work!

That is another alternative if you are away for a few days. However for longer periods, it may not be relevant for some stuff that you are planning to post.
Much like radio requests for DJs. Audience would prefer a ‘Live’ feed.
I am basically giving away my first ReviewMe ad for $20 after a coupon. http://www.jaygeiger.com/index.php/2007/02/27/i-will-review-your-site-for-20/
My sites only a PR3 but for $20 I thought it was a steal.
Very nice John! Can’t wait to see your february recap
As well, I am proud to support a potential record breaking month for the blog.
[...] the past couple of days, John has been bombarded with a lot of ReviewMe orders and, well, he wasn’t quite prepared to do this many reviews in such a short amount of time. [...]
so $250 for a link, and how many readers sent your way? has anyone given details on this yet?
If John had earned $2,250.00 in Feb, 50% discount, let’s see.. that should take us to about 18 writers? I believe I have heard John mention the number ‘18′ before, correct me if I am wrong.
I think one of the keys to getting reviewme reviews is promoting it on your own.
In a totally unrelated topic…did anyone else notice that comments are being capped at 240? See John’s “guess my February income” post.
Yes I saw the magic number ‘240′. I thought that he closed the comments tag as soon as the deadline was cut?
[...] John in action, it is really genius how he is able to take ideas like ReviewMe and turn them into an opportunity for everyone who visits his site. By putting in a little bit of [...]
Experience the same whack here at my end. Got two reviews on the last day!
Made 100 bucks overall
Well that was a nice one!
Looks like it is a special tactic by ReviewMe that works miracles in generating interest for their offer of site reviews. Although it also depends on whether you can keep up with the workload and generate equal amount of quality output for that matter.
I wish I could make that kind of month for an hours worth of work.
