Blog Income Report – April 2008

Even for a "low", that is still an impressive number.
I'm still shooting and aiming for 10 percent of that :)

I feel that the time in which I only make $29 569.05 a month is just around the corner. The value of the dollar has to drop even faster for that to happen though... :grin:

Even a "low" of $29K is GREAT. Congrats on the numbers. It shows how successful this blog is when your potential worst month gives you just shy of $30K.

I've been doing my catch up on the make money bloggers and it looks like everybody is reporting a down turn in earnings for April. Personally I make my money in quite different ways to you (I mainly concentrate on high traffic PPC) but I've also had a crap month.

One thing I would say is that you're very lucky to get the $1000 straight from Kontera without relying on clicks, they have been one of my favourite networks for a long time now but in the last 6 weeks my earnings are down about 75% from the same traffic and clicks. Widgetbucks have also turned to cr@p.

Seeing the situation of my blog,I need to spend more than 100 years to catch up yours.. :shock:

i wish i could make that much money.. heck i'll be happy with half of that...

Your summer already starts in April? What are you using next month as a reason the income went down? Overall you'll see fluctuation by a few points either way. It's not a trend. It's not a specific reason - it's just how income from advertising on the web works. ;)

That's 1000$ a day. Just sit back and think about that for a second. Amazing. It really is, in ANY industry.

I know it's not popular, but Adsense is kind of a project for me. So in Feb I made 10 cents a day
March I made 1.00 a day
May I'm doing 10.00 a day

One additional thing i observed was that the other ads do not appear like ads on teh site..however the new pepperjam ads displayed next to johnchow.com looks quiet odd!!

John, How is it that you always get 1000$ from Kontera. Have you struck a deal with them. I had to remove Kontera from one of my sites since the payout was way less than the other ad options.

Aren't you actually cannibalizing your online revenues by having multiple ad sources? Ever since I added Kontera and Adify to my blog, in addition to Adsense, my earnings have been declining..

I like how some people are playing this off like it's something big. Had he gone below $10,000 for whatever reason, than he'd have a problem, but $29,569.05 is still a lot of money no matter how you slice it.
