Here’s the video from the session call Internet Marketing for Smart People, which featured Darren Rowse, Brian Clark and Chris Brogan. I would have posted this two days ago but had uploading issues because of the size of the files. I first uploaded it to YouTube but it was rejected because the video was an hour long. It took two upload attempts before I got it on Vimeo.
Internet Marketing for Smart People is just that. The three panelist discuss Internet marketing methods they’ve employed to help build their business and how a smart person can take advantage of them. The video is an hour long so I recommend you grab a drink, bite to eat and pull up a chair. You’re going to be here for a while.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

An hour long! I think I’m going to have to get lunch as well
– looking forward to hearing what these guys have to say, as they are all experts in their field.
Yeah…hope that this 1 hour does not goes into trash bin.
I also believe it wont….i have been reading your each and every post since 3 mnths…trust me….it helps a lot//
It probably won’t go into the trash since people paid to go to BlogWorld.
I wonder if anyone out here actually watched this video! it is amazing.. im glad to see brian and darren together.. thanks for the share
Probably the people at the conference did.
I just finished watching it. I’m going to post a summary of what they talked about (with timestamps) soon. I think it had some very cool information.
I think the Q and A part that started around 29:00 minutes is when it really started getting good.
Brain and Chris have a tendency to talk a little more than Darren. It is really cool seeing Chris’s sense of humor come out in the video. I would love to end up at a BWE next year just to chat with that guy; he seems really cool.
It is also interesting seeing how the “old dogs” so to speak interact. They’ve been blogging longer than most of us knew that blogs existed and like John, have seen how social media has changed. Brian even thanked John for taking some heat off him with the make money online/blogging idea. LOL
This was a very good video to watch. Thanks for posting it for us people that couldn’t make it to Blogworld. Greg Ellison
wow, an hour video. need to pause and let it stream first.
p/s: after see the video, what should i say is thanks for sharing it. Thanks a lot.
Boy this one is really long one … let it upload first.
Looking very promising one with Darren Brian and Chris.
Sweet video! Wish I was there…
Some great things I really got out of the video..
Really relate to the being too scared to sell point raised.
I think as bloggers we give out so much information we shouldn’t feel scared to sell products at all if we’re providing great value already. This relates to the getting more than you give point also. People that read our blogs are already GETTING a lot of great value from us bloggers so if they GIVE a little money for a great quality product they will be getting more than they give which is what customers seem to want.
As Chris Brogan said, we need to eat too right!
After watching this video I’ve decided I’m taking down all adsense code off my blog. I’m relatively new in the blogging world so it was something that I wanted to try because I like trying new things. I was going to take it off at the end of the month but this video has tipped me over the edge and am doing it now. I only want to sell/show products to my readers that I KNOW will benefit them.
Thanks for posting John!
Maybe you should have internet marketing for dummies. There are a lot of information in that video; I am hoping there is a transcript available on it because I could really learn a lot if I could underline things and write some notes on the margins. If not, thank you for it anyway; I will just have to listen to it again.

I think a full transcript would be awesome. I just finished watching the video and taking notes over most of it. I think parts of it went a little slow, so a transcript would be a lot easier to get through than watching the whole video.
Cool video John. Main message for me is that blogging is about relationships and as much genuiness as one can muster “safely”. Making cash would be a side product of that. I need to learn to do this better myself, so thanks for posting it.
Looks like Apple is a sponsor.
Not really, I think everyone just owns a Mac.
nice season..i really enjoy the video just like i enjoy how i make money from affiliate marketing… just rock
Thanks John, that is some great free content.
Wow, an hour long..I’ll need to wait it load and take a chair to watch the full video…might be really interesting..great to see Darren, Brian and Chris..
I’ll have to put on my headphones for this one so I don’t bug my wife.
Haha, I’m sure you’re a good husbang.
Geez, another whopper! With the poor internet speeds we experience here in South Africa this is going to take a while. Time to go and prepare lunch whilst my machine deals with this. Nothing worse than watching a video in installments whilst waiting for things to load…..
Ugh, that would be brutal. I’d say skip ahead to 29:00 min and let it download from there. The Q&A was way better than the start imo.
I simply wish Chris Brogan would stop using the word “retarded.” Chris, you know better!! Thanks SO much for posting this John.
Ok, I am seated, I have something to bite and a nice, cold glass of something, lets see what is on offer

really, really, please, pretty please John, provide transcripts for us acoustically challenged people, the background noise and the echo made it impossible for me to understand the content, but I would love to have been able to ;-( SY
