Blogging The Movie Needs One More Blogger

written by John Chow on November 10th, 2007

While at Blog World Expo, I got a chance to meet and hang out with Prija from Blogging The Movie. For those who don’t what that is you can check my review of concept here.

Blogging The Movie is a film that follows the lives of ten bloggers, one of whom is me. It will be interesting having a film crew following around for a week. Anyways, the film needs one more blogger in order to fill that tenth slot. This slot will go to an up and coming blogger who is struggling to make his name in the blogshere. If you think you have an interesting story to tell, then why not audition for that last spot. It just might make you famous.

Here is a video of the promo from Blogging The Movie.

i love documentaries. since i new to blogging a docu about blogging is a great idea and i would definitely watch it. but what’s up with the trailer. Judging by the trailer it seems like the movie will not be so good. note to filmmakers…Cute a new trailer cause that one sucks.

I guess the last blogger would be the rookie of the year blogger which the competition is still on going? Anyway there are just too many bloggers involved, let’s see who is the lucky one.

That would be interesting. It will be interesting to see how this gets marketed and released (it could be released in a unique medium).

Haha I can’t wait to see this! Maybe I should apply and they will see that my site is having lots of giveaways right now plus a coupon to redeem 2 free movie rentals, popcorn and 2 coke products :)

Forgot to mention that the coupon is redeemable at all Blockbusters.

This is not a real movie is it? I mean, is it a professional one or done by amateurs?

It’s going to be done by Paper Plane Productions. Please read the film crew page on Blogging The Movie for more information on who is involved.

John, could you get the message to them that their sound is awful? I sure hope the whole movie isn’t going to be like that. If they can’t afford a good microphone, maybe you could buy them one.

Also, it may be too late, but it seems like many of the blogs are “how I make money telling people how to make money”. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but there should also be enough variety in the mix.

I assume that anything with your name on it (especially as the first headliner) is going to have superior quality. Make it so.

Oooo Lots of “Make Money Online” in the cast already. I guess you guys like to show off more :).

Not sure if I’d even have a chance to be the rookie blogger.

I think this is a very interesting sounding project and with blogging being such a worldwide phenomenon touching so many lives today, it will give people real insight into what blogging is all about, what it entails and the pressures surrounding the job, which is a business venture in much the same way as any other.

Although I know I look good on cameras  and such a publicity is what I need to give my blog a kick start but I gotta say NO. I dont like cameras. Well if you ask me, I do have a very interesting and touching story  but I can’t imagine a film crew is following me even when im in the toilet!

Should be interesting and I can’t wait to see the final product. I’ve followed several of these blogs for a while now so it will be neat to see what each person is like in their daily lives.

What exactly is the format going to be? A documentary or a feature film? Or like a docu-drama? Quite a line up you have there!

This is an awesome concept, and if they can pull it off I think it’d be a huge success just because there’s already a huge following for these guys.

Now what they would actually tape is beyond me… 10 people sitting behind their computers and blogging all day? so exciting.. haha
