CES 2008 - Sights and Sounds
The CES is the world’s biggest consumer electronics trade show. It takes up the entire 3.5 million square feet Las Vegas Convention Center, two hotels and parts of the Sands Expo Convention Center. That’s almost 2 million square feet of net display space. To put that into perspective, BlogWorld consumed about 100,000 square feet of total floor space (not net). While BlogWorld can barely get 2,000 people to attend, CES brings in over 140,000 during the four day event.
To give you an idea of what it’s like to attend CES, I’ve put together this little sights and sounds video showing some of the stuff we saw. The CES is so big, it is impossible to see all the displays in the few days available. The best plan is to pick and choose what you’re interested in and then check those displays out.

Reply to this commentAnother great CES recap video. I’ll definitely try and attend the event next year. I bet you got a lot of comments with that killer shirt!
Reply to this commentIt is a great experience, but, being the “dinosaur” I currently am, I just can’t seem to find the time. Once I leave my brick&mortar business to my children however, things will change (it won’t be that long until my daugher is out of college, I am looking forward to letting her and later on my son take over) for the better as far as time is concerned

I hope I can go to one someday. Yeah, keep making more video posts dude. Those are the best. Reading takes too much effort. lol.
Reply to this commentAwesome video man. Still doesn’t capture the energy of being there, or the sheer chaos of navigating it once you are there. Can’t wait until next year.

Reply to this commentCool vid. I’ve always been meaning to go! I’ve even been in Vegas one year when it was there, but was on other business and couldn’t find the time to get there. Now I’m wishing I missed a meeting or two!

Reply to this commentwow if I went there as a kid I think my mind would blow up.
Reply to this commentI was just watching the 6:00pm news on Global and they started their week long review of this show (just a tad unltimely for your blog!). I did see a camera that I know all Hockey Moms and Dads will want… it was the camera that does everything even underwater and in places like arenas where you have the bright lights above and the white of the shiny ice rink (which makes for an awful picture without proper lighting!) Anyway… this camera films all this in HD format! But they didn’t say who made it and where and when I could get it! Any clues from you?
