While walking the CES show floor, we came across a company call HzO. They make a technology that allows manufacturers to waterproof their devices.
How Does It Work?
WaterBlock is a chemical vapor deposition that blankets vital electronic circuitry with a nano-thin film containing highly effective, water-repelling properties. When applied, it is transparent and creates a finish that doesn’t disrupt the look and feel.
The product is not available to end consumers. Hz0 is working with manufacturers to add WaterBlock to their products. Naturally, the company declined to state who those manufacturers are, but a waterproof iPhone 5 would be a great selling feature!

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

This would be awesome, but I know I would be REAL hesitant
Sweet this technology needs to be in all smart phones!
great!when iphone5 is out.i’ll definitely buy one!
@Stuartpwilson27 Thanks for the retweet!
So it should save all those phones that accidentally fall in toilets?
@Shane Lowry I’m not ashamed to say I’ve done that before.
@John Chow@Shane Lowry It’s a little surprising and not a little disturbing how many phones people drop in the toilet. All it takes is it sitting in your top pocket, bend over to flush and splash
I hope so… I can’t tell you how many times I have pulled the iPhone4 in the rain and not giving two flying ***** if it is raining or not
Awesome stuff, new companies are so innovative these days.
