CES - How Much For Parking?

written by John Chow on January 9th, 2007

Yes, it’s true. This is how much they want for parking during the International Consumer Electronics Show. Is that crazy or what? I guess I shouldn’t be shocked. But man, that’s a lot of money to park a car for the day! This is why I request companies to send me a limo! No way I am paying that!

Here are some more photos Las Vegas Convention Center and 2007 the International CES.

Looks like its shaping up to be a quality event. It also looks very similar to the DigitalLife I attended in New York a few months ago.

Parking is big business, maybe I should retire from internet work and buy up parking lots.

Cheers
Stew

$40? Pshaw! Daytona Beach FLA, parking near the motor speedway is $100 for the day! (during race events of course)

How’s about prying that $40 piece of wood off and showing us the “normal” price?

New York City parking is somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 per hour.

John,

Your rss advertisement “Join My AGLOCO Network! Get Paid To Suft The Net!” has a typo. “Suft” — “Surf”

Can you say @$$ r@p3? I always thought it was ridiculous that they charge $25 for Spurs games and college football at the Alamodome.

I was just thinking, wasn’t CES going out of business or were they able to bring back the bigger companies, I remember a year or something ago that they were having troubles staying afloat and bringing in the vendors.

Or am I thinking Comdex? Though with 140,000 attendees that isn’t a convention that is having troubles now is it?

Well Nomar, for that price you can only park it like half a week at Amsterdam airport, horrible ripoff as well, but still better than this 40$ for one day pricing ;)

$40 is not a bad price at all if it includes valet service.

Limo ride as an alternative? I don’t know if that’s gonna be cheaper than $40.. Though if the company pays ;)

$40 sounds expensive, but parking at any major event here (near GM Place, etc.) is at least $20, so that doesn’t really surprise me.

Tyler - It was Comdex that went under. CES never had a problem. One of the reasons Comdex went under because of the growth of CES.

Today I lifted that $40 sign to see how much it really was on a normal day; $10.00.

Frikken madness I tell ya!

Hey John, I notice some of your recent photo-filled posts don’t have goog ads, do you manually disable them for certain posts I presume? As they’re automatically embedded using that wordpress plugin you mentioned usually right?
