CES – How Much For Parking?

cesparking.jpg

Yes, it’s true. This is how much they want for parking during the International Consumer Electronics Show. Is that crazy or what? I guess I shouldn’t be shocked. But man, that’s a lot of money to park a car for the day! This is why I request companies to send me a limo! No way I am paying that!

Here are some more photos Las Vegas Convention Center and 2007 the International CES.

Looks like its shaping up to be a quality event. It also looks very similar to the DigitalLife I attended in New York a few months ago.

Parking is big business, maybe I should retire from internet work and buy up parking lots.

    Cheers

$40? Pshaw! Daytona Beach FLA, parking near the motor speedway is $100 for the day! (during race events of course)

  3. HMTKSteve says:

How’s about prying that $40 piece of wood off and showing us the “normal” price?

New York City parking is somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 per hour.

  4. soj says:

you should have the CES in Melbourne, pay $10 for parking, beautiful, I dont know whether the Melbourne Exhibition Centre is large enough to hold the event though

  5. Raghu says:

    $40 dollars for a day’s parking !!

Does car pooling work there at all ?

  6. ouchs says:

Man I think will check out this event next year…

  7. Pedro Pais says:

    John,

Your rss advertisement “Join My AGLOCO Network! Get Paid To Suft The Net!” has a typo. “Suft” — “Surf”

  8. derrich says:

Can you say @$$ [email protected]? I always thought it was ridiculous that they charge $25 for Spurs games and college football at the Alamodome.

  9. Tyler says:

I was just thinking, wasn’t CES going out of business or were they able to bring back the bigger companies, I remember a year or something ago that they were having troubles staying afloat and bringing in the vendors.

Or am I thinking Comdex? Though with 140,000 attendees that isn’t a convention that is having troubles now is it?

  10. Kenric says:

Parking in you hometown must be cheap because I didnt think $40 was bad at all for all day!

  11. Ed Lau says:

    Wow…and I thought Canucks parking was ridiculous…

  12. Nomar says:

lol for 40 dollar you can park your car 2 weeks at the airport here

  13. Leftblank says:

Well Nomar, for that price you can only park it like half a week at Amsterdam airport, horrible ripoff as well, but still better than this 40$ for one day pricing 😉

  14. HMTKSteve says:

$40 is not a bad price at all if it includes valet service.

  15. Tony says:

Limo ride as an alternative? I don’t know if that’s gonna be cheaper than $40.. Though if the company pays 😉

  16. Alex Becker says:

Yea I’m sure the companies pay.

  17. Michael Kwan says:

$40 sounds expensive, but parking at any major event here (near GM Place, etc.) is at least $20, so that doesn’t really surprise me.

  18. John Chow says:

Tyler – It was Comdex that went under. CES never had a problem. One of the reasons Comdex went under because of the growth of CES.

  19. John Chow says:

Today I lifted that $40 sign to see how much it really was on a normal day; $10.00.

John – have you seen the new iPhone yet?

  22. Frikken madness I tell ya!

Hey John, I notice some of your recent photo-filled posts don’t have goog ads, do you manually disable them for certain posts I presume? As they’re automatically embedded using that wordpress plugin you mentioned usually right?

    Matt

  23. Ryan says:

Just hang glide in from your suite.

  24. adrian says:

Wow… do they provide you with a full tank of gas too?

  25. Jane says:

$40 for parking!! I hope that came with a lap dance!!! Hey, it’s Vegas…anything can happen
