Checking Out The Ocean View Lottery Home

Since I didn’t have much to do today, I decided to take the family on a drive into sunny White Rock to check out the ocean view lottery home. It’s always best to check out these homes during the weekdays because it’s way too busy on the weekends. The grand prize home has over 5,000 square feet of living space and is valued at $2.3 million, which includes $200,000 of furniture.

The back of the home features an amazing view of the ocean and you can tell that most of the cost of this house is because of the view. The home layout if very functional. The main floor features a great room, chef’s kitchen, breakfast and dining room, an office and a large patio overlooking the ocean.

The lower level is perfect for entertaining. The open floor plan features a large living area, a bar, billiard room, exercise room, game room, wine room and guest bedroom. The back yard has a large hot tub.

The upstairs offer three bedroom and an open den. The master bedroom takes up most of the floorspace and offers the best view in the house. The master also has a private patio so you can watch the sun set over the ocean at night.

If you would like a chance to win this home, tickets are $100 each, 3-ticket packs are $250 and 4-ticket packs are $300. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Delta Hospital Foundation and Peach Arch Hospital Foundation.

Do you know why they make it ilegal? In some countries goverment support building alternative energy resources which are enviromental friendly.

The pool of tickets totals $7,610,000 USD. $2.3M house, a nice little profit there if all tickets sold. Of course it is going towards a good cause.

Have a friend purchase the ticket for you and head up there to claim it when you win. I guess that will work?

Disappointing. For a moment, I thought that this blog had grown to the point where JC was able to give away a house in his weekly giveaway. :-(

There’s a similar raffle going on in San Diego right now. Not near as nice a house, though. $150 tickets to win an $800,000 condo. Benefits the Ronald McDonald House. http://www.sdraffle.com/ is the site.

I like some parts of the house but don’t really like the living room and the bedroom, looks a bit too classic.

I’d sure love to live in a house like that. But I don’t think I could even afford to buy the ticket right now.

They did something like this in Texas, ticket were $100 for the St. Judes foundation. I entered didn’t when but I like the idea of having an opportunity to win a house. This one is much grander though. WOW!

I think the fact that it is a house instead of cash keeps the winner safe from blowing every cent. Beyond that, I think it encourages a positive view of the lottery, which is a good thing, in my opinion.
