Computex 2007 – Thanks For The Memory

written by John Chow on June 10, 2007

How one lazy bum made $176,697.50

Today is our last day at Computex Taipei. We will be flying home on Sunday night at 11:50PM and landing in Vancouver on Sunday night at 7:30PM. Yes, we will be landing at a time earlier than when we took off. Who said time travel was impossible?

Today, we will be doing some site seeing before heading to the airport later tonight. We had a great week at Computex Taipei and came away with a lot of fine memory. If you don’t believe me, check out these photos to see just how fine the memory were. It’s going to be fun getting all this free stuff through customs.

Unfortunately, all 474 USB drives in that bottle were empty shells. There was no memory in it.

looks like you had one heck of a good time

How did you learn about this trip john? Is it for tech people only?

Kelly

I would like to know how did you bring them through Canadian customs? Did you have to pay? They were freaking out when i got only 25 DVD.

Hey John, so when are you going to start giving them free to your readers ?

When is you next competitition

That middle picture reminds me of the last thing the lobster saw... John's got that "I'm about to eat you" look in his eye here too.

John, you home yet? Hope you had a smooth trip back (no problems at the airport this time).

john... everyone needs ram man.. why not pull a contest and give away 2000$ worth ram..

and guy John is too evil.. he churns out money more than he would actually get from ebay..
Smart thinker..

John: sell them on ebay.com and just give one or two to your readers. Don't give all of them. give one is enough. Be evil

lol wow... that's a lot of memory! how much is all of that worth?

I smell another evil contest coming!

That last photo is excellent. So that is how you REALLY make money online eh?

One day... one day I will be there and be able to blog about it

I'm always down for a free flash drive.

I just want to start reading the forum
So this is my first post

Nice work here !!

Very good site. You are doing a great job. Please keep it up!

haha lots of memory im sure you can't use all of that

Please ship me some of those memory sticks

Wow. Nice John.

OCZ memory is awesome! I've got 2GBs of it in my baby right now.

OMG!
You won't have enough computers to put all those in.

So.. you know, I've always got a computer you can put your memory in ;)

hope i got one..

I think the memory from Taipei will last forever. ;)

free memory: to good to be true

Oh , there are very much USB memory ^^! . I haven't ever seen this

The look on your face while mocking up that theft was slightly amusing.

It's not the first time you have put that face on have you John?

I smell free giveaways!

yes... and they should I be shipped to me

John with the bucket of empty USB drive cases made me laugh. Good to see all this serious work hasn't dented your sense of humour.

So John, are you going to give away some of that RAM?

yea sound like a great idea copywriter!

You can tell the customs guy that you're giving them away as "presents" for your most loyal readers back home. All of them.

Keep it up John!

That last sign is, uh, different

I'd gladly offer to take some of that OCZ memory off your hands :)

In case you're wondering, that is $6,000 of OCZ memory I'm holding.

damn! you could sell those on ebay and rake some extra cash.

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed. That makes me look at the photo differently.

Thats a lot of memory, looks like there may be some competitions coming up.

Wasn't that the purpose of the trip? To get free stuff for us? John is such a kind person!

and may I suggest that the competition for a free usb flash drive should go something like this. First person to make a comment on this thread gets a free flash usb drive. (non hollow one)

Ha ha, good one ian.

I think john needs to give bigger prizes away to match the income he is bringing in

So.. how many contest have been waiting?

Forget that, build a flash drive raid array... Just because you can :)

hahaha...
John is a kind man,i know.

word! I'm sure he'll use those memory to get some good reviews that worth $100s for his blog. Yeah that's evil.
