Dot Com Pho Orange County has been enjoying double digit attendance for the past few months. This week, I really wanted to step it up and set a new record.
I offered a free copy of my book, Make Money Online: Roadmap of a Dot Com Mogul, to anyone who showed up. You figured I would flood Pho Ba Co with people, right? Not exactly. We had a grand total of four people attending. I guess people in the OC just don’t like to read! Jeff from TIME OC did pass by 90 minutes later but by that time, Oscar had left, so we were still left at four.
On this edition of Dot Com Pho OC, we meet the man who is wearing a bow tie everyday for a year. He even has a blog about it. We also checked out some cool rides at Cars and Coffee, including the incredible Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. This is the world’s fastest production car. One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

Hey John,
I traveled across the city to get your book and I bought it too. It may be that people in OC don’t read books anymore. I remember one of your blog readers commenting about hating books months ago. You may have to create a new version of your book, in pictures only, so people don’t have to read it. Or make a video of yourself reading it to them.

@Vance Sova Maybe you’re right. I should go into the Barns and Noble at the Irvine Spectrum Center and see how busy it is. I’ll have to discount the fact that some people might be in there just for the free WiFi.

@fas That’s how Cars and Coffee works. No roping off a car. allowed. You want to show it off, you park it like everyone else and risk possible damage.
And has it ever happened that anyone did any damage to anyones car?
