Dot Com Pho – Broke Edition

This edition of Dot Com Pho was bought to you by Broke – The New American Dream. Broke is a film by Michael Covel on how America ended up in the mess it’s currently in. It’s a pretty cool movie and if you want to win a copy, just reply to this post. I’ll announce the winners at next week’s Dot Com Pho.

This week’s Dot Com Pho took place at Pho Thai Hoa, home of the best Vietnamese subs in town. The episode was filmed using the new Canon SD980 digital camera, which also happened to be our gadget of the week. We had a full house for the Dot Com meetup. I was only expecting four people to show but we ended up with ten attendees. Anyone is welcome to join us for Dot Com Pho. Follow me on Twitter to find out the time and location of the next one.

I thought he was full of crap…but what do you know…6 more actually show.

    1. We wish in coming days 60 people will come you guys to join.

      Nice to see full house.

    2. Tell them to go home…. or you can ask the host to pull up another table. 🙂

Haha, you should try again next time, you can’t be the 1st commentator, but 2nd should be good enough. 😉

    1. John Chow says:

The entire episode was filmed with SD980 except the gadget of the week. That was filmed with SD960.

      1. Vincent Woon says:

I thought so ..because you can see a differences when filming the gadget of the week and I know it’s not Ed 🙂 he he

Does everyone pay for their own meal or Does John pay and write it off as an expense?

    1. John Chow says:

      LOL! People pay for me!

      1. Whenever you see that he is using iPhone for tweets while having meal, you should understand he is looking for sponsor … lollzz

      2. You mean the restaurants don’t at least give you a meal from free for bringing all the people you do and for promoting them?

    2. Ed Lau says:

I think I’ve paid for John once because he gave me something in exchange…I forget what now. I think it was a copy of a book. No, not his e-Book.

We are looking for someone to sponsor Dot Com Pho so we can bring it to the next level, though! Imagine…Dot Com Pho! Brought to you by (your company here).

      1. With your sponsor, maybe you can have a traveling edition……check out new cities & restaurants. Maybe a Dot Com Pho bus to tour around the US & Canada…….

  4. Mike Walker says:

My first Dot Com Pho experience was delicious, hilarious, and maybe a few other ‘ous’-words. Thanks to Mr. Yurechko for inviting me out!

  5. Wow so many new faces in todays dot com pho.

Usually you show their website URL but this time its not flashed immediately.

  6. Count me in on the drawing for the movie. I love to learn all I can about the financial meltdown and the one that’s coming, maybe this week.

The camera quality rocks. I think your bigger Canon camcorder is a waste of money, LOL.

Good video. A little shaky tho. It was done with the camera? Thats pretty good. I voted for Ashley. Good luck and I look forward to next weeks video. I should be posting up some videos of a couple cell phones in the next day or two. Maybe you guys can check them out when they are up

Some years ago I had read a news article about John on how he was making money on the net. Well, recently I stumbled onto your website again, I must say I find your blog very interesting and informative. I downloaded your ebook on Making money online. There is so much to read on your site, I will be a frequent visitor.

  11. The sound in your videos is a bit muffed. Have you considered replacing your microphone’s windscreen with something less condensed?

  12. Nice to see finally a lady amongst all the guys 😉 SY
