Dot Com Pho – Hit On The Server Edition

During last week’s episode of Dot Com Pho, I got quite a few comments from readers saying how hot our server was. So this week, I decided to dig up more information on our pretty waitress, and I wasn’t being subtle about it. The reactions from the nearby table were pretty funny.

In addition to hitting on the server, this week’s edition of Dot Com Pho featured three appetizer dishes, how much I should charge for a seminar, Sally Chow demoing the iPad App of the Week, the end of the world Tweetup party, and getting a taste of Richmond. Anyone is welcome to join us for Dot Com Pho (we had 8 for this meetup). Follow me on Twitter to find the time and location of the next one.

Dot Com Pho Vancouver: Kangaroo Burger Edition

Dot Com Pho Vancouver didn’t hit on their server, but they did do a Dot Com Pho first: kangaroo burgers! They’re hippity-hopping right into their stomachs. The episode was filmed at Mondo Eatery in Richmond, BC.

I have a better and more accurate prophecy than the May 21st thing: When the world doesn’t end next Saturday, they’ll claim there was a miscalculation and change the date to another in the near future. πŸ™‚

And just in case you encounter somebody claiming the Bible predicts the date of the end:
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24:36

How did that Honda get unstuck? Obviously you made it out eventually. πŸ™‚

Might have worked to hold the brakes while giving throttle in reverse, since the front left still had traction. When one of two drive wheels is off the ground, the act of braking simulates traction resistance for the airborne wheel, forcing most differentials into a pseudo-locked state where both wheels get torque.

    1. John Chow says:

I put some wooden blocks under the front passenger tire that was above ground, told the owner to sit in the passenger side, then got into the driver side, put it in reserve and back it out. Then the front nose piece ripped off! But I got him out. LOL

      1. Kevin Kimes says:

Haha! Ouch! I had wondered if the nose piece or possibly the radiator or other vital parts would get hurt. Well, at least you and everyone else got out of there, heheh.

  5. John,
Hit on the server girl edition, you are hilarious. There is something about an attractive girl in glasses that does it for me. She’s gonna have a ton of stalkers after her now. I’ll check her out on Facebook.

I have never seen a springroll like that one . Can’t go wrong with tangy chicken wings. lol guy getting his car stuck. You are a good Samaritan.

I never had kangaroo burgers it doesn’t look bad though. Maybe I will try them at Outback.

  6. fas says:

    1. Make Money says:

I’m sitting here looking at it craving burgers now…it is only 7:50 am here which means I have a ways to go before lunch πŸ™

  7. exsuit says:

I wonder how many facebook friend requests she’s received after putting out her details to over 100K readers πŸ˜›

    1. Kevin Kimes says:

Yeah I was wondering about that. Hopefully all of John’s readers are up-and-up and won’t do anything rude. πŸ™‚

    2. It was funny seeing that guy in the background laughing away at what you guys were saying

      1. PPC Ian says:

Yeah, that was funny! Dot Com Pho definitely made his day!

      2. Make Money says:

I wish I could surround myself with decent people that would make me smile and laugh like that. Down south around here all of my friends work regular jobs and aren’t that excited or energetic once they get off…

  8. EMT Training says:

Kangaroo is a little bit too gamey for my tastes. Not a big fan, but glad they got to try it!
