Normally, Orange County is a nice hot place to host Dot Com Pho. However, some cloud decided to play games with us today. One minute, the cloud would block the sun and make us feel the cold chill of the wind. The next minute, it would let the sun shine through and we’ll be sizzling again. I guess this is mother nature’s version of hot or not. We went from T-shirts to jacket to T-shirts, and back to jackets again. Well, everyone did except for the Bow Tie man, who is always wearing at least four layers of clothing no matter how hot or not it is.
For this edition of Dot Com Pho, we have some hot females doing a not so hot job trying to get people to take a survey, we try to get the CBC to pick up the lunch tab for next week, some guys have all the luck and then there’s Oscar Gonzalez, and a whole lot more. Anyone is welcome to join the fun at Dot Com Pho. Follow me on Twitter to find the time and location of the next one.

Dot Com Pho Vancouver – Actual HD Edition
In Vancouver, the episode of Dot Com Pho was shot in full HD with the all-new Canon 5D Mark III, which also served as the gadget of the week. They also talk about raccoon defense, Canucks woes, and Happy Brian saving you money on John and Michael’s book.

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

Ed’s doing the Vancouver video this week, so…
So, we can expect it next week then…
Ed actually beat your expectations by 5 days or more. Not bad. The video is loading longer in full HD. The Canon 5D Mark III is very impressive. Fit for professional photographers. Actually the CBC crew filming documentary about John Chow in Vancouver a few weeks back had a similar Canon camera just a bit older model.
I believe they shot with a 5D Mark II.
Hopefully, they do a better focus job than Ed!
John you will never miss a chance to pull the HEAVY leg of ED … lollzz
WTF? The CBC is flying an entire film crew to LA to record a few minutes of video? Have these idiots never heard of Skype? Ask them how much their vacation is costing taxpayers. Rrrrrrage!!!
Actually, they flying down to do three days of filming, but it’ll be edited down to 15 minute when the show airs.
Hot or Cold my layers keep me comfortable and looking good with a bow tie. Although on really hots day, I have been known to wear only two layers.
It is the same weather here in Singapore. Hot for a while and cold the next moment!
Best to sit inside in such cases.
The inside of Pho Ba Co is too small. Besides, we love the patio.
That was a fun lunch John. Seems like it should be sunny all day today. Hopefully!
Which camera was this shot?
GoPro Hero 2.
