Dot Com Pho – Last Pho of 2011 Edition

What better way to close out 2011 and welcome 2012 than by having a hot bowl of Pho in the great outdoors, while soaking up 75F sunshine? Well, you could have done that if you were with us at Dot Com Pho Orange Country! Thanks to #SMMOC, we had a nice turn out of nine people making it to the last Pho of 2011.

For the last Pho of the year, I wanted to give you an idea on some of the serious decisions and debates we have during the meetup. Dot Com Pho is not just fun and games. We do talk about serious issues. It just never makes it to the video. However, we haven’t forgotten the fun and games. For that, we have the way too cute Sally Chow killing a whole zoo because she loves killing things (her words!).

Anyone is welcome to join us for Dot Com Pho. We do it every Saturday. Follow me on Twitter to find the time and location of the next one. Happy New Year!

Dot Com Pho Vancouver – Slurp And Charge Edition

Up in the great white north, the Dot Com Pho crew in Vancouver demos how to eat Pho properly by slurping it. I guess I’ve been eating it wrong all this time. Also, Michael Kwan shows off his Cyber Power world travel adapter. All I have to say is, the one I use is better, mainly because it doesn’t block off the second outlet of the wall plug.

Wow, she is already talking about killing, and she is like 5 years old!

    1. John Chow says:

@fas Yep, she like to kill things! LOL

  2. Vance Sova says:

    Hey John,

How come you left the iPhone on while taking the video? I guess you forgot since you were advising not to do that in the video from Vancouver about the Bubo a few weeks back.

Nice to see that many people there. We had fewer for the last Pho. You can watch the videos from the last 2011 Pho in Vancouver:

By the way it didn’t rain here either. Just the temperature was much lower.

@Vance Sova Ya, I kinda forgot to take my own advice. Mel got a good pic of me answering the call with the iPhone in the Owle and Rode mic. lol

  3. John Chow says:

The Belkin Mini Surge Protector I use has dual USB ports as well, and it can rotate 360 to clear the second outlet.

    1. Michael Kwan says:

@John Chow I read somewhere that the Cyberpower USB ports are higher amperage than the Belkin’s, but I can’t confirm that anywhere. Figured it was worth a shot.
