Dot Com Pho – Lemon Grass Edition
written by John Chow on October 18th, 2008
We went to a restaurant call Green Lemongrass for this week’s edition of Dot Com Pho. We had a very nice turn out of 15 people, including three first timers. One of the main purposes of Dot Com Pho is to meet new people so it’s always nice when that actually happens.
For the Lemon Grass (or Glass) edition of Dot Com Pho, we have stock advice from Tim Sykes, playing Connect 4, why the Macbook sucks, wine tasting, the Gadget of the Week, Twitter shoutouts and a whole lot more. Enjoy the video I look forward to seeing you at a future Dot Com Pho.

Thank you for the shout out Ed Lau. I don’t know why I thought you would be going to a wedding to take photos.
Thank you Stephen Fung for saying the shout out.
No problem.
I believe that was iPhone Gary that had to be at the wedding. Poor guy is getting trained to be put away forever by his woman.
LOL at Stephen’s motorboat.
I like to motorboat. Don’t you? LOL
Hey Ray shaved! lol did we ever find out what Ray’s lastname is? Or is it like Cher?
It’s like Prince. I’m looking for a symbol to convert to. Is Prince’s symbol trademarked?
Probably but I’m sure we can make a cooler one for you!
I need to start one of these Dot Com Pho events in the Minneapolis area! It’s always great to meet fellow bloggers and network.
I was in Minneapolis last week, it could have been fun to do a dotcompho there
Today’s lunch was so much fun – and the spring rolls were delicious! Crystal and I enjoyed seeing/meeting you all and making new friends. Love the flexible keyboard ‘gadget of the week’!
Crystal says, ‘Thanks for the autographed book Tim, and the Market Leverage T-shirt John!”
How does the motor boat go, Stephen??? LOL
See you next time
I like to motorboat =)
Interesting video you have there. Perhaps you can also post more photos of the food ordered. By the way, what software application did you use to add text to the video?

lol john chicken.. john cock.. hilarious.
lol “john chicken.. john cock..” hilarious.
Haha…thanks for shout out. I knew my Last name would make it difficult. It is even difficult in Polish and people right there, make often mistakes in it.
If you want to check how it should be (less or more) pronunciated, you can try this synthetizer http://www.ivosoftware.com/ Just type in Kacper Wrzesniewski and select Polish voice.
Have a good day
Is your first name pronounced the same as Casper? Like the Friendly Ghost?
Exactly
and my last name is related to month September.
Wrzesien in PL = September, and there is no direct translation of Wrzesniewski, but it is less or more something like a September’s guy.
For sure, I could pick an easier domain name for my blog, but on the other side, some people have a reason to bookmark it or subscribe to RSS as it is so difficult to remember.
Can you spell that phonetically? Until I know how to say it, I don’t want to say it
I didn’t know it was a weekly thing. Lucky, but thats very awesome. I like that you guys are open to newbies. I will keep that in mind if I am ever in the area!
Me too, it’s good to know that the “gurus” are open to the little guys
Men really fun,its this times im sad to be so far away…in portugal….maybe next year ill go to canada on vacations and pass by with my wife and son.
I cannot BELIEVE a video of your dinner brings so many people to a website…
…and then I read your PDF. Thank you, for inspiring me, giving a business model, and telling me how badly taxes were ripping me off in plain terms. You are awesome John Chow. I really do mean it.
If any of you guys are having doubts about http://www.PinkyArcade.com , I now work with a team of professionals that supplies all the prizes to be given away

Thank you for the shout out Ed Lau.
Waiting for you to come to Toronto for the next Pho
Can’t wait till the pens play you guys….going to be a good game, just like last year!
Oh, how much I envy your meetings.
I wish I was living somewhere nearby and could have joined in there.
I really want to get something like this going where I live. It always looks like so much fun.
Nice video and I want to get something like this
It sucks that I missed getting my name in the shout-out. My power cord for my laptop went out, and I had to wait for a new one from Dell.
I never was interested in your Pho meets until I saw the PinkyArcade post. This is the first video I watched. I get it now! Wow, makes want to travel just to attend one.
Start a meet where I am and we make a preamble to John Chow before we eat. Maybe a secret handshake is order?
