One of the great things about doing Dot Com Pho in the OC is I get to host it outdoors. This is something that I was never able to do in Vancouver because none of the Pho restaurants have patios. Out door Dot Com Pho is the best way to enjoy Pho, and I think it’s one of the reasons we pull higher attendance numbers then any of the other Dot Com Pho meetups.
For this edition of Dot Com Pho Orange County, we have The Food Cop going undercover, Oscar pissing people off, mixing Pho with Mexican food, a folding gadget of the week, and the only person not on twitter.
Anyone is welcome to join us for Dot Com Pho. Follow me on Twitter to find the time and location of the next one. There are also Dot Com Pho chapters in Vancouver and Seattle. Follow @DotComPho for latest on those meetups.
Dot Com Pho Vancouver – David Beckham Underwear Edition
Over in rainy Vancouver, the Dot Com crew talks about keeping fit and David Beckhams’s underwear. Wait… what?

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

I have a question. How do you get those gadgets of the week? Do the manufacturers just send them to you? What do you do with all those gadget afterwards? Do you get to keep them?
Thanks.

The bikes is cool. I can only notice the word DaHON on the bikes body. What is the actual name/brand of it? Is it sold online?
The bicycle also look small. I think you should ride it John and we can see whether it is good enough for bigger guys (not to say that you are big…but just the normal standard size of a guy).
@Cyza Dahon is the actual name. The bike is available online for $699 at http://jclink.me/dahon
Yes, it does fit me. I’ve been using it to ride around the Loop.
@John Chow Thanks a lot for providing me the link.
Cheers.
Most gadgets are sent by the manufacturers or sponsors. We had never had to return any gadget. They are either given away or end up collecting dusk in the gadget box.
Another cool post John! Cheers!

A person not on twitter, possible, but a person not on FB?
Hey John,
It’s nice to have the Pho outside as you say. I’m not sure if it won’t be too hot for that in the summer though. In the meantime you will be encouraged to gloat even more when you’ll see what weather we had for our Pho in Vancouver. You can have a look below:

Hi John, How about hosting one of those events in Chicago? You should be used to the cold right?
@Randy Lipnitzky If I am ever in the windy city, I will host one.
@Randy Lipnitzky A good idea. But I think if in summer days as the disadvantages of the heat or rain, perhaps? You will fix it how?
I think your gadget of the week needs an iPhone mount. It would be easier to steal mayorships…
@missingarrow That’ll be next week’s gadget of the week.

All right, I give in. I’ll have to get a twitter account now. I can’t be the only one without. Besides, I can follow the mayorship battles day to day. Great post, as always, John.
