Dot Com Pho – Stephen’s Cupcake Edition

written by John Chow on November 21, 2009

Make money with YouTube

After attracting a girl for every guy at last week’s Dot Com Pho, things got back to normal this week with all guys. However, to help add a womanly touch, Stephen Fung brought along some cupcakes in the hopes that it would attract some girls sitting at the other tables. All together we had eight people attend the Pho meet up, with four being completely new. That’s always encouraging and we welcome anyone who wants to come out and have a bowl of Pho with us. Follow me on Twitter to find the time and location of the next edition.

For this edition of Dot Com Pho, we have Stephen’s cupcake, FATal1ty trying to pick up girls with Stpehen’s cupcake, the new Google Chrome OS, the Obama action figure, Pho menu #1, a bunch of other Pho dishes, a mega Twitter shout out that last as long as the Dot Com Pho video and a whole lot more. Enjoy!

Stephen November 22, 2009 at 10:18 am

OMG! You’re my cousin! LOL

Apparently, they are just known as Coconut, however, the place I got them has taken our suggestion and are currently putting together a batch of Skor/Coconut hybrid ones for us! LOL

I think my shout out was too late for the video.

The cupcakes made up for it though.

Lesley November 21, 2009 at 9:44 pm

AW MAN THERE WERE CUPCAKES?!?! …

Stephen November 21, 2009 at 10:16 pm

Yes. There were cupcakes. Yummy Skor and Coconut ones too!

As Ed found out too late, you can smash them together to make them even more awesome! LOL

So Stephen hows your preparation is going on to have big burger. I heard in pho meet that you are working very hard for this.

Stephen November 22, 2009 at 1:23 am

The next big challenge will be in January at CES 2010. I think we’re going to “Eat for a Cause”. Still working out those details.

So far, huge honking burrito, 120 oz steak and a very big burger are all options.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog November 22, 2009 at 12:22 am

“wrapped in condom” … may be such words kept girls away from pho meet. What do you say ?

Dino November 22, 2009 at 2:44 am

Cupcakes with facebook advertising or ad.ly coupons would be awesome. Like those chinese fortune cookies expect that you get a coupon code inside :)

Wow stephen made cupcakes? That’s cool! John, how was the cupcake taste? Taste good? :)

Stephen November 22, 2009 at 10:19 am

I didn’t make them. My friends at Cornerstone Cafe in Coquitlam gave them to me. Since I eat everything I see, I decided to bring them along so that wouldn’t happen.

Lee Ka Hoong November 22, 2009 at 4:55 pm

Cool! But that was bad to see FATal1ty failed to pick up the girls over there. lol! :D

Stephen November 23, 2009 at 8:32 pm

It’s good he didn’t pick them up. They were “well used” :O

Tinh November 22, 2009 at 5:44 am

I am curious about where are originally Dot Com Pho from? “Pho” is originally from my country

Ed Lau November 22, 2009 at 12:47 pm

We made it up. No, we didn’t create pho…but we created Dot Com Pho.

Stephen November 22, 2009 at 8:17 pm

Dude, we may not have invented Pho, but we pulled an Apple d-bag move and took credit for it. Werd

Dean Saliba November 22, 2009 at 6:21 am

You’re only going to attract one type of girl with the offer of cakes. :P

Weight Loss Diet Plans November 24, 2009 at 6:17 pm

What kind of girl would that be?

Gary November 22, 2009 at 10:37 am

Market Samurai Review November 22, 2009 at 11:51 am

Men can be bribed by food, here is the proof ;-) SY

Stephen November 22, 2009 at 12:41 pm

It’s true!

At least, I can be bribed with food :)

John Chow November 22, 2009 at 4:20 pm

Both Stephen and Fung and Michael Kwan will work for food.

Stephen November 22, 2009 at 8:18 pm

What…there’s two of me now?

Dana @ Online Knowledge November 22, 2009 at 4:20 pm

great cupcake pho ;)

Jacques | Web Design November 23, 2009 at 2:40 am

I am extremely wary of cupcakes. Here in South Africa you inevitably find the baker has had ulterior motives and added some extra herbs to the mix. It does wonders for productivity for the rest of the day ;-)

Weight Loss Diet Plans November 24, 2009 at 6:16 pm

In the tradition of Dot Com Pho.maybe you should have had pork cupcakes.

oes tsetnoc Seo Contest November 30, 2009 at 1:34 pm

In England they have mince pies, they were originally made from meat, they could serve ;-) SY

Aaron Koo November 24, 2009 at 11:31 pm

Thanks for having me that day. I’ll come again for sure. Maybe I’ll order less food next time.

Enoch Fung November 24, 2009 at 5:34 pm
