Dot Com Pho - Triple A Beef Edition

written by John Chow on October 11th, 2008

After taking a week off, Dot Com Pho is back and back at Pho Richmond. Located in the Continental Plaza, Pho Richmond is the only Pho restaurant in the Greater Vancouver area that serves Triple A Beef Pho.

Joining Sarah and me for the Triple A edition of Dot Com Pho were Ed Lau, Wolfgang, Ray and new comers Robert Klein and Heather from Boating In Beautiful British Columbia. Heather also brought the gadget of the week.

Thanks go out to Market Leverage for supplying “I’m Blogging This” T-Shirts to everyone who attended. Highlights from this week’s Dot Com Pho include taking X Shots, losing $280,000, Yahoo’s many epic fails, Twitter shoutouts and geek drinking games. Enjoy!

Wish I was there to join in on the discussion. I have never been to a Pho restaurant before and would love to try it.

That was great John! I really enjoyed lunch with you all.

BTW, I was a Pho-virgin, but the Triple A Beef was very good - especially with a dash of chili sauce :)

Hope to see you again soon.

Looks like it was a lot of fun! I love Pho! We don’t have any Pho restaurants around where I live now. Sometimes you just need a big deep bowl of rare beef pho. or a Bun Mai for lunch. You’re making me hungry and I just ate! Great post, again, looked like fun!

I love pho, and there are many Vietnamese restaurants where I live. I tend to pour so much chili sauce that the soup turns totally red. Just my preference… pho is fantastic….

Pho Richmond is the most Cantonese Pho Restaurant in the Lower Mainland…and it’s quite possible that the AAA Beef is reclaimed from the Korean US Beef ban earlier in the year. Afterall, my people did switch a little girl out of her Olympic glory because she wasn’t cute enough.

I hope you guys are alive tomorrow

We lived the last time. Don’t expect this time to be any different. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. :P

Too bad I couldn’t send you the Edmonton footage in time for inclusion. I’ll mash together a video for posting on Beyond the Rhetoric tomorrow.

A couple of general comments about this episode. John, you’re not “trying the beef” to see if it’s AAA, since we already went there a couple months ago. :) Ironically, the gadget of the week is nearly identical to the one from that episode too.

Since I’m pretty late on commenting, I’m going to say I see Robert’s crooked glasses (my ears are crooked too :) ) and Heather’s right eye twitches :P . As for the iPhone Beer thing…wow…just wow…
