Dot Com Pho – Valentine’s Day Edition

Valentine’s Day is a happy day so we figure it was only appropriate that we hold this edition of Dot Com Pho at Happy Pho on Main and King Edward in Vancouver. We had a full house of 14 people show up for the Valentine’s Day Pho. Everyone who attended received a copy of the book, Blog Blazers. Congrats goes out to Sheldon Pearce. He was the winner of the Blog Blazers book contest.

Because it was Valentine’s Day, we skipped the normal Twitter Shout Outs and did Valentine’s Day Love Tweets. This is where Twitter users can send in their love tweets to their significant other for me to read out. Some of the tweets were very interesting, to put it mildly. In addition to the Valentine love tweets, this edition of Dot Com Pho includes the gadget of the week, a water tasting test and a bunch of other stuff. Enjoy!

LOL – hey thanks for sending that love note, John!

I think i just confused everybody at your table with that message.

I actually felt a little better and tried to take her out, but without a reservation, waits were ranging over 2+ hours so we ordered out and ate at home.

Well you sure got some interesting tweets. The comment to the MacBook PRO about “keeping his lap warm” was priceless haha.

Ed was every close on the pronunciation of my last name. Doing it phonetically it would be:

    Ebb err soul = Ebersole.

My wife gave me a big kiss when I showed her the video!

I didn’t send in my Valentine Tweet because it would have been an hour long rendition of my love poetry translated into Chinese, too hot for Canadian Ears lol ahahah

  11. haha…that was a great video.

John, is there a reason why you don’t put your videos on Youtube but rather Vimeo?

    1. John Chow says:

The video is also on youtube but I like Vimeo because of better quality. Also Vimeo allows me to embed HD video, which I will be doing in the future.

  22. That was very creative and interesting Valentine’s Tweets! Though, I liked the idea of video taping it and posting them very nice. Though, I will admit I really enjoyed the review of the Canon HF100 Camcorder. Wow not that’s a nice camcorder…how much did you say it’s going for now online?
