That's what it seems like to me! Walked into Apple store this weekend (Bay Area, CA) and they had no shortage of iPhones. Got my iPhone 4 within a few minutes! Great phone, especially because I upgraded from 3G.

Great point, but I think from a business standpoint what they are doing makes sense. Create more buzz, do the whole Verizon thing to hit the news, and then make it a limited release thing, so when you hold one in your hand for the first time, it feels like you are holding the Baby Jesus. You will want to buy it more and for a higher price. By the way, Ed, good luck with your dilemma.
