Dove Evolution

written by John Chow on October 19th, 2006

Think those beauty ads in magazines and billboards are real? Think again. This is a video produced by Dove Film showing the making of a billboard ad. For those who cannot view the embedded video, you can watch it at Youtube.

So true. As a photographer I deal with this all the time. For fashion and editorial work, the photoshopping we do is astronomical. But it can be a blessing also. When you do some portraits for the average guy/girl off the street and hit it with the slightest of enhancement. They are astounded and customers for life :-)

That is amazing and hilarious at the same time. I was watching and thinking, “How are they gonna make this girl beautiful?”. Photoshop baby - Yeah!

This is old news. I remember seeing a side-by-side of two images for a magazine cover. On the left was the original, on the right was the photoshopped image.

By mousing over the right image it would show you how they changed things.

At least in this case, most of the work was done without photoshop!

You post other people’s videos, yet you complain when your content ends up on another site. Interesting.

Umm, this is a youtube feature. All my videos on youtube can be embedded this way and I have no problems with it because it’s part of the Youtube TOS that I agreed to when I uploaded the videos. Any video uploaded to youtube can be embedded. That’s why they give you the HTML for it.

I don’t agree to letting anyone copy my blog content without my permission. I don’t see the point of your comment.
