WOW another good work of john chow….so does this support firefox and chow please explain its features
Reply to this commentYes it was designed for Firefox. Download it and you’ll see all the features.
Reply to this commentI have to admit John, this is something I would have never expected from you ;), whats up…taking the bloggers to the next level?
I will give it a try and see how this works out.
Reply to this commentI didnt know the next level was 2006, conduits been doing the free toolbar thing for a while.
Reply to this commentlol…i will have my browser full of toolbars if every popular blog i vist are going to release their own toolbars…not sure whether there will be space to read the content
i will then have to revert to bookmarks…
Reply to this commentYou said it was designed for FF? It works fine with my XP like your Vista, I guess.
Reply to this commentDo we get John Chow rank for useing it sir.lol
Reply to this commentLOL - OK… I think this is a bit too much John…
Reply to this commentYes, I agree. But awesome that you made your own plugin!
Reply to this commentso John, do you make any money when someone uses the search function on the toolbar to make any searches?
Reply to this commentI think you should have a contest for people to guess how much money you can make from it. =)
I’ll have to check but I don’t think this makes me any money.
Reply to this commentI would guess if you push the toolbar hard enough, it can make an extra $1-$2k a month.

Reply to this commentLolz, if you are honestly not sure - it will.
Reply to this commentYou know it will make you money by using google search thing. That’s how Firefox makes millions of dollars a year. So please don’t even act like you’re not sure.
Reply to this commentI really didn’t know. The main reason for creating the toolbar was because it has my RSS on it. Shoemoney is going down!
Reply to this commentHahaha…that is hilarious reason, I like it though. Go JCHOW!

Reply to this commentHah, yeah right you didn’t look at that.
Reply to this commentI knew that evil John was working on something
Reply to this commentBut John, you can make money by placing one or two text link ad on the toolbar where there is a spare space. In that way, you could sell heaps more ads adding at least another $2000 to your income.
3rd!
I’m getting this toolbar.
Reply to this commentlet me guess, john chow rss feed automatically subscribed
Reply to this commentEvil at work.
Reply to this commentthis is evil lolll but so smart
a new fashion begins now
Reply to this commentI have seen this all around the net - very basis tool bar - If I didn’t have all these other tool bars on my FF browser I probably would download it to just play around with
Reply to this commentI smell an onslaught of blogs coming out with their own toolbars now…
Reply to this commentOh jeeze, I wonder what the John Cow toolbar would look like
Reply to this commentAnd how would be called is more important…the Moo bar?
Reply to this commentHaha… or the Milk bar?
Reply to this commentlol - your right - I am currently workin gon mine!
Reply to this commentI am pretty anti-toolbar. i like to keep it simple with only using firefox live bookmarks. anything more would look like cluttter to me.
Reply to this commentSame here - only one I have is StumbleUpon
Reply to this commentReally cool John! How does the toolbar stand with Vista?
Reply to this commentI am using it with Vista right now. It works fine.
Reply to this commentVista! John are you serious
anybody who knows anything about comps knows that Vista is a piece of crap. It’ll be scraped within’ 18months. In and out just like Windows ME.
Reply to this commentThis is quite impressive. It should also have “Contact John Chow” too. So those with a toolbar installed have a quicker contact priority. As an incentive to get users downloading.
Reply to this commentDoes it work with Vista?
Reply to this commentAh didn’t see your message above. Thanks.
Reply to this commentDarn John, I thought this was going to be some evil version of AGLOCO, seeing as how they kinda fell apart.
Reply to this commentWoot! Spyware from John Chow?
j/k
Reply to this commentIt’s no more spyware the google toolbar
Reply to this commenti would just like to stay away from toolbars like these..
Reply to this commentThey don’t provide any value, just increase browser load time and eat more resources..
I would prefer to visit your site from my bookmark instead of toolbar:)
Wow, the toolbar thing. I know you earn affiliate money through the Google search bar. Let us know how much you make off of that. Great way to increase your bottom line yet again. I’m sure there are lot of other things this bar will do for you too (rss readership?)
Reply to this commentLike Guitar Hero and Jeremy I must admit I am also anti-toolbar. I chose Linux and will buy a Mac for one reason only: it MUST work, and I need all the resources of my computer.
No popups, no background hassles, no messengers announcing to everyone when I’m online. Send me a mail and I will reply a.s.a.p., but all the hassle of background utilities seems a bit like overdoing it.
The next thing you will begin recommending is perhaps Agloco also?
Sorry, but this is the first time I hand out a definite thumbs down to you, John.
Anyway. Have a nice sunday everyone.
Reply to this commentSounds interesting. It may replace my google toolbar
Reply to this commentThis little toolbar won’t show your Google Page Rank though…
Reply to this commentso basically I get the same thing that google bar offers, but with a big fat johnchow.com text and secret messages….
I’ll stick to the normal ones with my costume things on it.
Reply to this commentI use this toolbar for my blog. It is a cool and dif way for your readers to get your feed and stuff.
Reply to this commentJohn, I need all your readers!! Can you write a blog post for my blog please?
I give away tips for applying to medical schools. It may benefit your daughter too (if she’s interested).
Reply to this commentFor $400 i`m sure he`ll gladly write a review.
Reply to this commentI know, but $400 is astronomical for a poor student like myself….
Reply to this commentWith a blogspot blog and a “commenting” way of contacting him, do you think he will entertain you?
Reply to this commentEveryone should get a fair go no matter what.
Reply to this commentSecret message? Reminds me of A Christmas Story “Be sure to drink your Ovaltine. Ovaltine? A crummy commercial?”
I’m not a big fan of toolbars either. I’d suggest thinking outside the box and going for a Vista gadget or something along that line.
Reply to this commentHey John, I am in the process designing one for my readers as well. Actually I wanted to tip you on this one, but seems you got there beforehand.
I think you can make it slightly better by adding some of your articles. For instance, ‘Money Makers’ list can definitely go there. This will give you readers a quick access to your main reference list. I have been readin your for more than a year now, and there a bunch of pages I visit on a regular basis. Having them on a toolbar would make things easier.
Aibek
Reply to this commenttoolbar? that really new for a personal blog, subscribing to ur feed aren’t enough i guess.
Reply to this commenti’ll give it a try!
i was waiting to see when you were going to implement this. its about time.
Reply to this commentSo you knew?
Reply to this commentI just made my own toolbar FTW!
Reply to this commentAnd John Chow takes the lead. I will download it and look forward to seeing it in action.
Reply to this commentSo are you going to pay people a portion of your income based on how often they run the toolbar like Agloco?
Oh wait, Agloco doesn’t pay anyone anything…
Sorry, couldn’t help myself
Reply to this commentWow this is a surprise! All the JC addicts out there will love this.
Reply to this commentHow much have you made so far John? As far as I remember conduit pays like 0.01/0.02 per search.
Reply to this commentI don’t know. I haven’t even signed up for their income program yet. Like I said, I did this because of the RSS.
Reply to this commentNice move, after you win hopefully you can make some money
Reply to this commentThat is one evil way to get your Rss jumping and i can see why you released that bar, it got you 1000 plus readers extra!
You are on the 11000 mark and going higher and higher each day!
Reply to this commentYeah, but I don’t really like that a ton of his posts are just about RSS this month
.
Reply to this commentLook who’s discovered Conduit Toolbars.
I experimented with them awhile back…before they were called Conduit even.
Reply to this commentGreat! Just what the world needed: another toolbar! I love to fill my browser with toolbars!

Reply to this commentDo you mean that everytime you switch on your browser, you are surfing toolbars instead of the Internet?
Reply to this commentSuper addition. Good job on the tool
Reply to this commentum i uninstalled it .. slowing up my whole browser it sucks sorry to say
Reply to this commentDo you use FF 2 ? I didn’t know anything could make it slower than it already is
Reply to this commentGood bye to John Chow.
Reply to this commentThe site was meant to teach us how to make money.
But seem it has turned to making money from readers…
Cheers
Aren’t you the brave one? Won’t even enter your name?
Reply to this commentHey John … add that “Anonymous coward” name for people like that
Reply to this commentWow, this is really cool. I am building my own toolbar too at http://www.conduit.com/. Thanks for the article.
Reply to this commentEvil @ work LOL
Reply to this commentwow..
Reply to this commentIt is probably more useful than the Agloco toolbar.
Reply to this commentYes, definitely!
Reply to this commentWait a minute, I didn’t know that we can make money and get RSS subscribers with our own toolbar…
Reply to this commentYeah … toolbars are the way to go
Reply to this commentToolbars are awesome. I will download and install this from you. Thanks a lot.
Reply to this commentMaybe John can be kind enough to show us how to make your own toolbar???
Reply to this commentJohn , I don’t think having a toolbar its a good idea. i already enjoy reading your post in RSS and from your website. So i hope you can release something more different than anyone else, like widgets stuffs.
Reply to this commentI’ll happily install a Vista gadget if you made one, but I’ll pass on the toolbar.
Reply to this commentYeh! A Vista gadget will be great!
Reply to this commentLOL, this truly is evil marketing!
Reply to this commentAnother toolbar? I have about 5 toolbars already. Somebody needs to make toolbar with:
Reply to this comment- Stumble
- PR
- Torrent Search
- Spelling check
- John Chow button
You know that you can minimize them when you are not using them!
Reply to this commentWhy the hell would anyone install this toolbar? Are you people like little puppets? Following a guy and his blog , to the very end.. because you can’t think for yourselves?
Reply to this commentYou visited this blog because you followed the advice of someone or something. So you are a puppet too. Yippee! We are all puppets!
Reply to this commentActually it is not really hard to build your own toolbar. I built one myself for my site called ‘Tech Help Videos’. You can see it here - http://techhelpvideos.ourtoolbar.com/
Reply to this commentJohn, does the Toolbar include Spyware?
