Man, I thought driving on the streets of Shanghai was scary. However, Punyu and Gungzhou is at least twice as scary. While I am visiting my childhood home, I have access to a full time car and driver who can take me anywhere I want to go. It’s not as glamorous as it sound. The car doesn’t really give off that VIP look. However, it sure is a lot of fun!
So far, we’ve been visiting a lot of historic sites and eating. One thing about the Chinese. We love to eat! I’m pretty sure I’ve gain weight on this trip. In the video below, I show you the type of traffic you can expect if you decided to take a trip here. Crossing the street can make your entire life flash before you eyes!

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch. Because of the technology barrier, many would-be bloggers never start their blogs...

Wow what’s with the ditches on the side of the road in the neighborhood? What if your tire got stuck in one?
The ditches you see on the side is the sewer system. I am from St. Lucia and the roads are very similar. The ditches usually lead to a river or the ocean where your garbage is sent out to who knows where. hmmm great.
To most people the video looks like a regular street. The only difference is there are no clear visible markings on the street, no cross walk, no speed limit posted and its like looks like everyone is driving by their own rules and standards. To me that’s a deadly mix and the wrong move or not paying enough attention could cost you your life.

Wow, every time I see new footage or photos of China, it becomes more and more apparent how the use of vehicles is growing everyday.
I remember seeing older photos from the 90′s or even 80′s and pretty much everyone was on a bike or walking.

The narrow lane was scary. What if another car came from opposite?
reminds me of the traffic I experiences in India and even to an extent South America in some areas…its insane!! People complain about traffic in L.A/NYC/etc but be happy its not worse lol…

I seen videos of the streets in Vietnam crossing that seems unbelievable.
I saw the locals on video crossing like it was nothing.
Are there any rules regulating the traffic? And for cyclists?

It’s not too bad traffic. At least the traffic is not extremely fast. Hope you enjoyed your stay there.
