Driving with John Chow – Episode 12 Starting All Over Again

On this episode of Driving with John Chow, I decided to mix things up a bit.

The first thing you will noticed is I am driving with the windows down. Normally, that would pick up a lot of wind noise but my Sony Bluetooth mic has a wind sock that pretty much wipes out any noise from the air moving around the Mercedes. I also switched to a 12mm lens on my Olympics OMD-EM5 digital camera. I normally use a 20mm f/1.7 prime lens. Lastly, I created a new intro at the start of the video. The final result looks and sounds great.

I used this drive to talk about what I would do if I had to start all over again. It’s a question that I get asked a lot. Would I start another blog? Would I go into an entire different line of business? Would I get a job? Etc. I answered the question in two parts. The first part is way more important than the second. Get that wrong and you can forget about going to part two. Enjoy the video and give me your feedback.

John! Whenever you drive, your hands must be on the driving wheel (00:24) ;-)

John Chow July 1, 2013 at 12:06 pm

The SL550 can almost drive itself. If I take my hands of the wheel, it has active lane keeping assit that will keep the car in its lane. :)

faisal July 2, 2013 at 6:29 am

Wow, what a car.

Jeanza July 2, 2013 at 5:48 am

John is from BC. All smart drivers from BC drive this way. The only time they keep steering wheel like crazy when they take exam at ICBC. No kidding

Anon July 2, 2013 at 6:13 pm

You’ve obviously never been in Richmond. Too bad it doesn’t prevent you from cutting off people,

Thanks John Chow,
Great video. I prefer the revolutionary introduction better. My partner and i concur that success is really a adjust in way of thinking as well as perspective. Be positive maintain functioning toward your aspirations as well as ambitions.

Hi John – yet another excellent video! So true about mindset.
Actually you have just described The Empower Network which has 5 products ranging from $25, $100 (both recurring monthly), $500, $1000 and $3,500. All of which give the affiliate 100% commissions for a monthly affiliate fee of $20 which includes merchant account.
I notice you have a large advertisement on your front page for Big Idea Mastermind, one of the teams withing Empower network.
I like the way you chat while driving. It would probably be illegal here in Australia LOL

Success takes time, perseverance and a positive mindset. Taking on new challenges is when you really start to grow and so will your business.

many thanks John!

I need a car like SL550 but that’s too expensive. You say it has active lane keeping assit that will keep the car in its lane. That’s the kind of feature I need. My wife and kids always warn me when I am driving to keep the car in the lane.

Lori July 2, 2013 at 7:26 pm

You need to keep positive. The car is only too expensive to those that do not believe it could be theirs. If you haven’t watched the movie “The Secret”, then please do and get everyone you know to watch it as well. It is the most inspiring movie ever!

Another thing you can do is go to YouTube and look up anything by Mr. Fire, Joe Vitale.

Great video John. The camera’s great… What kind of camera was it again? I might have missed it if you said the make and model.

John Chow July 2, 2013 at 9:26 am

It’s in the blog post. Olympics OMD-EM5.

Thanks for sharing this. Trying to change the old program (mind set) in my head to one of success instead of mediocrity. Thanks again……

Andrea July 2, 2013 at 10:24 am

Good video! It was easy to understand you, even when motorcycles were zipping by! Image was clear and not shaky as well, although that may have had something to do with your car’s suspension. ;)

jay johnson July 2, 2013 at 2:03 pm

oh my john. you got me jealous in a good way though. no pun intended. keep giving good inspiration info with in your own comedic way. :)

I. C. Daniel July 3, 2013 at 1:05 am

Best regards from I. C. Daniel

Great content John, you’re so right about attitude and mindset. If you get those two things down it’ll be easier to get past the bumps in the road which are inevitable, but at the same time just part of the process. Have an awesome 4th of July!
