There are tons of internet business ideas. However, some are so out there that you would never ever imagine they would be able to make any money. Weird Tech News Hub has come up with a list of the top 10 dumbest online business ideas that made it big. They include the now famous Million Dollar Home page and PositiveDating.com, a dating service for HIV positive people. You can check the complete list here.

I think the author should have included Woot! to the list. At first glance, the business model seems stupid: sell a single different product each day, offer little to no customer service — and make fun of the products in the daily promotions. But Woot, Inc. does all of this, with great results.

The company’s “one day, one deal” closeout site has garnered plenty of attention (and more than 300,000 registered customers) since launching in July 2004. Time magazine named Woot! one of the “50 Coolest Websites” in 2005. When Woot! posts its latest deal each day at midnight, Central Standard Time, customers flock to the site to buy the latest “Woot.” Woot will do $20 million in sales this year.
