Elite Retreat 2009 Heads To New York City

Shoemoney is holding another Elite Retreat and this time it will be happening for the first time in New York City. The retreat will be a 2 day event on October 1st and 2nd, 2009.

The Elite Retreat is a very exclusive event, and because there’s only 50 seats available, sells out within days of opening registration (there are only 20 seats left at the tine this post went live). Shoe has been able to assemble the most sought after people in the industry to provide insight and help to those who attend. Some of the Retreat leaders this year will be Chris Winfield of 10e20, Neil Patel of KISSMetrics, Aaron Wall of SEO Book, and Brian Norgard, of FOX Advertising. Keynote speakers of the Elite Retreat have been great in the past, including Guy Kawasaki and Gary Vaynerchuk. This year the keynote will be none other than, New York Times Bestselling Author, Seth Godin.

Please be aware that this conference is not for everyone. Registration is done by application process. Jeremy takes the time to approve all of the attendees, so that everyone gets the most out of the Elite Retreat. Don’t be scared to register though, it is NOT invitation only. Shoe just likes to make sure you are prepared for what this event can do for you.

This event is very exclusive and has limited availability. The purpose of this event is to take your business to another level, from good to great. Bring your business plan or current site objectives with you and we will help you optimize your business structure. This would definintely benefit you to bring your team or just your coder so you can work together on what you learn.

The cost to attend is $4,995 per person, and although some may call it expensive, anyone who has ever attended the Elite Retreat calls it an investment that easily pays for itself. An hour of consulting with any one of these guys would cost you at least $5,000.

Elite Retreat 2009 will take place at the Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District of New York City. The hotel has one of a kind spaces for being in Manhattan, like a rooftop pool (which will be the location of the opening night party).

  1. Elite Retreat’s investment cost is not pricey to me. It reflects quality over events (I’m not downplaying the worth of other events) that are free or lower in cost that are attended by thousands of people, giving you no chance to network with speakers and others in attendance.

The only reason I cannot apply to attend is a prior speaking engagement.

If I’m presented with an opportunity to network with individuals who’ve mastered their industries, price will never be an issue.

The cost is expensive but the information on that conference can be very useful.

will there be any videos/clips for those of us that’s not fortunate enough to make it or get approved?

    1. John Chow says:

No, the Elite Retreat is a live event only.

I have a prior engagement so unfortunately I will not be able to attend. Not being able to attend is unfortunate because I am sure with such an intimate gathering information will flow so much more smoothly and industry networking is will be better facilitated.

Good luck to those that get approved to attend, hopefully you’ll be permitted to blog about and share a small bit of the information absorbed.

As an industry event with they type and quality of people presenting I actually expected the cost to be much higher. I have attended and been invited to attend many other events that cost at least as much and were never designed to be small like this one is. If I was not otherwise occupied I would be seriously considering this event.

$5K is very expensive if you go there and don’t ask questions and don’t build relationships with other people.

$5K is a bargain if you pay attention to what is taught, build a relationship with experts and take action on what you’ve learned.

  15. Yeah read in Shoe money and big giants are joining this event. Main attraction is Seth Goddin. Although Neil is also important but he is now common face in your group so less curiosity for him and yeah another one is Aaron wall.
