Email Marketing with The New Aweber Follow Up Editor

If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, then you know that my email list is the secret to its money-making system. At the heart of the system is Aweber and the auto responder sales funnel. This sales funnel is powered by Aweber’s follow up editor and I’m happy to report that they’ve given it a complete makeover!

The new follow up editor is basically the same as the revamped broadcast editor, but with a different method for scheduling the messages.

Scheduling With Send Windows

With the broadcast editor, you choose the exact date and time your message goes out. With the new follow up editor, each subscriber gets the messages based on when they sign up, but you are able to choose windows of time they get those messages.

For example, if you want your emails to arrive when your subscribers stop for lunch, you can set those windows. If you want emails to go out only on Sundays, you can make that happen. Any routine you’re trying to establish with your subscribers can be reinforced by scheduling your follow ups.

To set your send windows, just use the handy calculator on the editor’s Step 2: Settings.

Here’s a video showing the new follow up editor in action. It’s pretty awesome and will allow even higher targeting than before.

Aweber is the best email service I have ever used. Their feature set is beyond anything else in the industry and this follow up editor just put them another light year ahead.

Aweber offers a $1 trial account for all new customers. The account is just like a normal Aweber account and includes unlimited email campaigns, newsletter, broadcasts and follow ups. Sending same message at different times as per subscriber’s location is awesome feature.

    1. Im sure that this feature will certainly increase the click-through rate, as messages can be delivered at optimum times, rather than sending a message when the subscriber is asleep & by the time he/she logs into the email, our emails may be hidden among others sent at a better time.

I will be testing this feature over the coming weeks to see whats effect this has on my overall email marketing campaigns.

Great job on the post Mr Chow!

I love AWeber’s send windows – but it really bugs me that they aren’t available for broadcast mails.

Hi John, I want to create an email list for my blog using Aweber, but the problem is they accept credit card payment for $1 and I don’t have credit card. So please tell me is there any other better way to create email list for my blog?

I’m using Google Feedburner for now and have just 50 subscribers. Any better and free way to create email list??

  3. Hey John, that’s a good news. I use getresponse and I can say their email newsletter templates are superb. Email marketing is the perfect way to boost sales and generate huge traffic to new posts. Thank you very much for giving us this tip – I’m sure readers would appreciate and take advantage of the $1 trial offer.

    Hi John,

I have had aweber for a long time now and they do seem to stay on top of their game. There are close seconds but I think aweber knows how to keep up with everything. They do a good job and that’s why I continue to use them.

    Good points on aweber

    HI John Chow sir,

This feature truly rocks and I personally think aweber is the best software out there for bloggers.

I want to ask you a question : Are textlinkads and reviewme safe to use. that is, if i use them as publishers will google penalise my website or drop it in SERPs ?

    Thanks.

  8. Hello John Chow,

It is great that Aweber makes development on their services and of course your post is very helpful and informative !!

    Thank you,
    zouras

  9. Aweber is a cinch to setup and I like that I can use 1 account to run all my blogs (multiple newsletters) from.

I wish they had slicker email templates (I actually use one from MailChimp – that has a way better template engine).

  10. Hey John

I use aweber myself and have been very impressed with the new features.

    Cheers
    Lloyd

    Hi John,

I’ve not been able to check out the follow up editor yet but thanks to your post I’ll be checking it out very soon. The new feature sounds awesome!
I love Aweber. They called me after my first few weeks of joining just to see how I was getting on and I thought that was such a nice touch.

    All the best,
    Jas

    Hey John,

I’ve been using AW for a while now and generally I like it. I don’t like the fact that you can’t easily pause a follow up campaign (you can do it, it’s just not as straightforward as it should be) and I don’t like the fact that you can’t move subscribers to different lists.
If they addressed these issues I would be really very happy!

    1. John Chow says:

You can move a subscriber to a different list. I’ll do a post on how to do that in a future article.
