Even If I Cheat I Wouldn’t Beat Him

written by John Chow on June 19, 2007

How to make $593 in less than one hour

Remember that basketball shooting game from the Thermaltake party at Computex Taipei?

There was a basketball shooting game at the party. It’s pretty much the same as the ones you see at an amusement park. The game is a lot of fun and I was able to score a high of 145 points. However, I noticed the high score was a crazy 268 points. No matter how hard I tried, I never came close to beating it. So, I got evil with it. Watch the video to see how I racked up 275 points in two minutes.

By being evil with the game, I was able to break the record. However, no matter how evil I get with it, I highly doubt I would be able to beat this guy. Watch the video and you’ll see what I mean. Thanks to Ed Lau for the link.

Is that guy came from planet Crypton ?

website copywriter June 20, 2007 at 11:55 am

I actually considered that he might’ve be an android or something…unbelievable! And we didn’t even get to see his face (maybe he had 2 pair of eyes like he had 2 pairs of hands).

VORN June 19, 2007 at 1:21 pm

Gary Jones :: BlueFur.com June 19, 2007 at 1:28 pm

That is insane! Wonder why the NBA hasn’t picked him up?

Jack Book June 19, 2007 at 8:33 pm

I think why NBA Players can do that is just because NBA Players are the way too tall to bow down taking the balls and then shoot it away.

that guy is not tall enough, that makes him easier to play the game.

well.. i think ;)

he’s impressing anyway

Josh Buckley June 19, 2007 at 1:31 pm

Wow, that guy has superhuman powers!

Terra Andersen June 19, 2007 at 1:35 pm

Wow, I wish I were that good..

blogcrowds June 19, 2007 at 1:38 pm

Pretty good, he missed 5 though.

website copywriter June 20, 2007 at 11:57 am

The scoreboard had to reset because he went over 999 — hahaha that’s just amazing!

Casey June 19, 2007 at 1:41 pm

Yeah John you are no match to him.
But, look at something. He has three times as much basketballs as you normally get.

Andrew P June 19, 2007 at 1:44 pm

Oh my gosh! … and I thought I was fast.

Krillz June 19, 2007 at 2:15 pm

Still counts as cheating as he used balls from neighbouring machines

But who the hell cares still impressing!

website copywriter June 20, 2007 at 12:11 pm

In this case, “cheating” could just as well mean “resourcefulness.”

Tony Vu June 19, 2007 at 2:30 pm

Jeez.. how many quarters does it take to get that good?

Matthew June 19, 2007 at 3:00 pm

haha that guy was nuts!

hello shooting game NBA

MillionDollarJourney.com June 19, 2007 at 3:17 pm

Brendan June 19, 2007 at 3:21 pm

Rosinha June 19, 2007 at 3:27 pm

Peter June 19, 2007 at 4:36 pm

Wow – there’s always someone with a better system. He’s uber evil.

shaun June 19, 2007 at 4:37 pm

Haha thats not bad not NBA material lol. He prob wasted lots of money on that game getting good haha.

Satenru June 19, 2007 at 5:33 pm

Or he might have one of those machine at home so he can practice that all day.

website copywriter June 20, 2007 at 12:17 pm

Could’ve practiced on a regular miniature sized back-door ring, too.

Ed Lau June 19, 2007 at 5:42 pm

Well to be fair, he’s shooting so rapidly that the machine is glitching. Notice that sometimes it’s counting one basket as two or more because the ball going through the basket is hitting the ball that went through just before it and is staying in line with the counting sensor.

…probably.

2 BROS BLOGGING June 19, 2007 at 5:51 pm

Looked like a robot to me.

Wahlau.NET June 19, 2007 at 7:26 pm

that is cheating…..normally it only have 3-4balls

he have like 7-8 balls.

Papa Rage June 19, 2007 at 7:37 pm

The first thing you notice when you watch that video is that guy has way more balls than you.

webd360 June 19, 2007 at 8:04 pm

that is really crazy I wonder how good that guy is at real basketball… I know a way you can beat his score though, just rig the system (mod the counter so that it gives you like a 100 baskets for 1 real basket or something like that)

Elmo The American Classified Ads Free Utilizing Google Dude! June 19, 2007 at 8:13 pm

Big deal! I used to be able to throw balls like that while being drunk, naked and breathing next to the south side of a north bound yak.

Ahhh…. those were the days!

website copywriter June 20, 2007 at 12:19 pm

…or Super Mario when he breathes/throws fire at those wretched little plants and evil turtles.

Shaun Carter June 20, 2007 at 12:47 am

Man that is sick… his arms move like they aren’t attached to his body! Talk about being ambidextrous…

SELaplana June 20, 2007 at 1:40 am

A Tentative Personal Finance Blog June 20, 2007 at 5:22 am

website copywriter June 20, 2007 at 12:35 pm

His was in the zone alright; his concentration was unbelievable!

Mario Andrade June 20, 2007 at 3:45 pm

Win an Ipod Shuffle EASY June 21, 2007 at 10:52 am

That’s crazy, my friend thought it was a fake video.

Jhon hebrink June 21, 2007 at 5:52 pm

let’s Michael Jordan play in

Aaron Cook dot Com™ June 23, 2007 at 3:31 am

Now he just needs to monetize that video by getting it up on Metacafe and such. He’s missing out on some nice cash by having it on Google Video.

Shine on,
Aaron
