Evil Blog Contest - Win A Microsoft Zune

written by John Chow on April 5th, 2007

Win a Microsoft Zune!

Some of you may recall the 30GB Microsoft Zune I won at the 2007 Affiliate Networking Dinner. Since winning the MP3 and video player, I have used it a grand total of zero hours. As a matter of fact, it’s still in the box. I figure since I don’t use it, I might as well give it away with another evil blog contest.

To enter the Win a Microsoft Zune contest, just make a post in your blog about it. Link to this blog’s home page using the anchor test “make money on the internet” and link to this blog post. Here’s an example of what I want.

John Chow dot Com, a blog that helps you make money on the internet, is giving away a Microsoft Zune. To enter, all you have to do is write about it. This is my entry. Now give me my Zune!

OK, that was a bad example but you get the idea. Add as much information as you want - just make sure you follow the linking rules. The post must be by itself and cannot be added to any other post. This contest is open to everyone. If you have blog, you can enter. It doesn’t matter where you are or what language your blog is in.

According to my TTZ Media price index, this prize is worth about $250.00 so it’s definitely worth entering.

After you complete your entry, send me an email with the URL to your post. Once I confirm the post meets the entry requirements, I’ll print out your email and add in to the draw bucket. At the end of this month, I’ll draw one name from the bucket and that blogger will be the proud owner of a brand new 30GB Microsoft Zune!

Enter now and Good luck!

Gosh John You’re so evil! But I will put up with it if it wins me a free Zune. You truly have such a huge advantage for getting search engine placement, because you have so many people working for you, for free or for a zune! Your potential on the internet just makes me go crazy.

The John Chow machine is quite impressive as he has built a large following and his readers understand the value of links from his site. I think John could give away just about anything and have a successful promotion.

Meanwhile I’ve been trying to give away a free version of TaxCut on my site and cannot get any interest from my readers. I’ve still got a lot to learn.

Dave said on April 6th, 2007 at 5:34 am

You need to have a large audience before you start doing this sort of thing. Also, you need a good prize, I don’t think too many people are going to get excited about a copy of TaxCut….

My New Choice - How many people have you got coming to your blog? I think Dave is right, you need to have a large audience before many people enter. Also, even though John might get 100 entries, he has 4000 people signed up to rss - so that is only 2.5% take up rate.

2) Can we enter with multiple blogs?
3) Can we have people post on our behalf on their blogs?

C’mon Johnny lets go!

3) You can have other post it but if their name gets drawn, you may have a problem with them.

And that was 3 questions.
