Fatten Your Wallet By Helping Others Lose Weight

Now that summer has arrived, have you managed to get yourself in shape for the beach? Are you comfortable being seen in public wearing just your bathing suit? Is your midsection better described as a six-pack or as a keg? Maybe it’s time that you consider going on a diet and overcoming the battle of the bulge. Better still, you can even try and make a few bucks along the way.

Well, that’s not completely true. The target of this review isn’t so much about getting you in shape as much as it is about you selling other people on eDiets Online Diet Plans. This is a make money online blog, after all, and not a healthy living blog.

Shave Inches, Fatten Wallet with eDiets.com

When you sign up for the affiliate program through eDiets, you are granted access to sell their full library of online diet plans and meal delivery plans. eDiets.com is a trusted name in the online dieting industry, having sold more than 2.5 million subscriptions since 1997.

At this time, you will find 18 different diet plans offered through eDiets, including well-known weight loss programs like the Atkins Diet, Glycemic Impact Diet, and Heart Smart Plan. Each of these come in at a slightly different price and individuals will be drawn to different diet plans according to their needs and lifestyle choices.

The people who sign up for eDiets through you may be looking to lose a few inches around their respective waists, but you could be fattening your wallet in the process. Better still, affiliates can link to specific diet plans, targeting specific demographics and their preferences.

Signing Up Through Commission Junction

The eDiets.com Affiliate Program is managed through Commission Junction. If you already have an account with CJ, you just need to go to the offer page to sign up and get started. If you are not already a member of Commission Junction, you are encouraged to sign up through this link instead.

The first part of the registration form involves selecting your language, country, and functional currency. This last part establishes the currency to be used to calculate and display all the financial content in your new Commission Junction account. On the second page of the registration form, you’ll need to provide some information about your website, your promotional methods, your contact information, company information, and payment information.

Special John Chow Payout Levels

The standard payout schedule for the eDiets.com Affiliate Program is based on the sales volume that you bring in. On the first tier, which is comprised of the first 40 sales you make in a month, you earn $15 per signup. This escalates up to the fourth tier (200 sales or more), where you earn $30 per sale. There is also the eDiets Meal Delivery tier where you get $50 per sale. But that’s for regular people.

A special offer has been extended to John Chow dot Com readers. The Online Diet Plan Commission schedule is outlined below, representing a minimum $25 payout per sale. If you get someone to sign up for a meal delivery plan, you earn $70 for that sale. That’s some pretty decent coin.

These increased commission rates are good through August 31st. If you are able to send in more than 15 sales between now and the end of August, you will be able to keep these increased rates through to the end of the year.

In order to receive these better rates for the eDiets.com Affiliate Program, you will want to send an email to [email protected] with your Commission Junction CID, mentioning that you would like to take advantage of the increased payouts as mentioned on John Chow dot Com. Sending an email to that address will also expedite your affiliate application.

    4. PaulB says:

Ha ha, I wish it was that easy. It’s a real hard niche to break into, too many people already targetting the fatties.

  2. Robert says:

Excellent suggestion – hope for self improvement usually leads to money transferring hands. 😀

  3. Good info for the amateur but in all honesty I’m not and was never a fat guy. I started going to the gym over a year ago just to gain muscle and weight because I’ve always been skinny. All I did was research on the internet how to weight train and learned from experience, also asking people at the gym how to do certain stuff. The first few times going to the gym is the hardest because you don’t know what your doing and it’s intimidating but after a little while it settles in and now you feel like the teacher and start looking at people who just joined who used to be just like you learning and you look at them like their retards but in all reality it’s what we all looked like when we first started. Theres times when I just want to go up to people and tell them what their doing wrong but some people take offense to that and don’t want to be told so you just need to hold your ground and let them learn on their own. I’ve seen people go for months on end and keep doing the same repetitive routine which is producing minimal results for them and I feel bad not telling them what their doing wrong but I believe in the end if you don’t realize what your doing wrong by your lack of results than you shouldn’t be working out in the first place.

  4. Haha this is ‘helping people’ at its absolute best. I love the way you think as an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur I really need to start thinking more like you.

    1. Ah, the way to spin things into a marketable product…isn’t it great what we can come up with?

  5. Whoops I typed the wrong link to my site in the previous comment. That is not very entrepreneurial of me is it? hehe

  6. A relative of mine signed up with eDiets a while back, but stopped. I don’t know if it’s because she just didn’t have time anymore or if she thought it was a load of crap.

The payout is pretty good though.

  7. Gaurav says:

Yes, eDiets MUST be an established name, they’ve sold 2.5 subscriptions in 20 years !! 2.5 subscriptions !! bahahahahahhaha….

    1. lol when i read article first time i was sure there is writen 2.5million 🙂

  8. Payout is great! Don’t know if it fits my niche though. Maybe it’s time to create another one 🙂

    1. Can’t have enough niches actually. Who knows what people are going for next. This is a lasting trend though with the diet market.

  9. Runtslife says:

The great thing about diets is that they only work short term. The buyers are happy that they are losing pounds, and the affiliates are happy that they get paid. Then a few months later they pile on the pounds again and the cycle starts all over.

    1. Very well said. It’s an endless chase of new diets that they can sabotage later.

  10. revenue says:

    1. CJ is a great system. Once it’s setup there are tons of possibilities to get paid from various projetcs.

  21. Geiger says:

I don’t really have a way of promoting this, but I’m curious. Is this product sold on our sites, or is it just ads to the site where this can be bought?

  22. Chip says:

This is a great opportunity for one of my culinary recipes blog. It would make the perfect addition, as I was actively looking for some affiliate links for it. It’s got almost 1000 recipes, and it should monetize well.

  23. John, I signed up at CJ, and created a new blog, web site pending. The blog is a personal chronicle about my own weight loss and diet success.
    http://dietingandweightlossblog.blogspot.com/
The only ad is a banner for eDiets.com and some text links to the same landing page in the body text.
Now if I can just get the traffic to my site, using some of Darren Rouse’s blog traffic building techniques, it will be interesting to see how the payouts build. Thanks for a great incentive promotion. You Rock! Respectfully, Nicholas Chase
