Five Niche Markets that Will Always Make Money

When it comes to making money online, many people are too focused on the concept of trying to make a quick buck. Instead, take the time to build an established web site or business model that could pay off year after year. Instead of constantly jumping on the latest hot trends of and trying to make a quick buck off new affiliate offers, there are also some niches that will always be in demand and make money forever.

Here is a list of 5 markets you can continually make money day after day, year after year!

As long as their will be people in the world, there will need to be a service for dating. Look at the dating industry online in just the past few years, and there doesn’t seem to be any reason for a slow down in sight. The well known dating web sites may attract a broad audience, but the new money is in the niche dating area, which targets based on religion, ethnicity and interests. To see what some of the latest dating web sites are using in their ad copies, be sure to check out my dating landing pages post.

Coupons have always been hot, but lately it’s gone crazy with the release of the “Extreme Couponing” show on TLC network. Taking the coupon industry to an even bigger level, was the launch of daily deals sites like Groupon and Living Social. No one wants to (or can afford) to pay full prices any more, and the companies that are making coupons available to customers are seeing a nice return on investment. At the same time, there is a ton of money to be made by helping these companies market their coupons to the right people.

Did you know that there are over 78.2 million owned pets, just within the United States? That means 39% of all U.S. households own at least one dog, while 28% of these owners own two dogs. That’s an amazing statistic and just shows how profitable the pet industry can be. Whether you own a local pet store or franchise like PetSmart or Petco, go on to create a pet food delivery like PetFlow, or even just have a blog or pet information web site, there are a lot of ways to make money in the pet niche. How many people do you know that has at least one cat or dog?

Weight Loss

Let’s hit you with a few more cold hard facts. About one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese. Approximately 17% (or 12.5 million) of children and adolescents aged 2—19 years are obese. How’s that for a target audience. I’m sure almost all of these figure have tried a weight loss product, or at least wanted to lose weight. The weight loss industry is especially hot during New Years Resolutions and right before summer. Year after year, billions of dollars are spent on the weight loss industry, pills and exercising gimmicks. Are you raking it in by helping others lose?

Make Money

Lastly we have the make money industry… which applies to nearly everyone! Who wouldn’t want to make more money? Right now the country is hurting bad for jobs and money, and people are looking for new ways to generate money, especially online. Unfortunately there will always be scams and garbage ways to make money, but if you have a quality product or the ability to teach people how to make money, you can help others while running a real business and cashing in.

There you have it. Five simple and easy to understand niche markets that aren’t going anywhere! Feel free to leave a comment if you’ve tried any of these markets or wanted to add to the list.

Always good to be in a niche that you know won’t die off anytime soon.

      1. Erwin Miradi says:

Yeah sure it’s good. But these are the hardest competition there is, right? I mean, even the oldest players are still there.

        1. Just go for long tail keywords and you will enjoy these niches.

  3. Jared Ronski says:

I completely agree with this article and the niche markets chosen.
Providing payment processing for alot of companies in these markets gives me insight into what works, and all of these markets make money even with tons of competition out there.

  4. Mate Hegedus says:

These are great niche markets but you may also exploit them by making money off it from youtube.

I have a post on my blog on how to make money with youtube and you can definitely create these little niches there too.

    1. Zac Johnson says:

Definitely, and YouTube videos rank well on Google too!

  5. Excellent post Zac. Great niches but very competitive though. In addition I think some people may find it easier to make money if they find a niche that is not so competitive. Try and be creative.

    1. Zac Johnson says:

Definitely competitive, but that’s where the money always is. Fortunately through internet marketing someone in a corner room in their house can compete and still succeed against billion dollar companies.

  6. Faizan says:

I especially agree with number 1,4 and 5. I think technology, such as gadget reviews and social media tips, are also hot niches.

    1. Zac Johnson says:

The mobile phone app market has been extremely hot, especially for app review sites.

  7. Dave Doolin says:

The crazy thing is that it’s true: these Big 5 *will* always make money. Thinking they won’t is like saying there won’t be any more new songs on the radio, because we have all the old ones already.

And the general principles for succeeding in these niches won’t change, either.

The devil, as they say, is in the details.

    1. Zac Johnson says:

Good comparison. A new wave of customers every day, out with the old and in with the new.

  8. I belong to the Tech niche. *Sigh*

    1. panax says:

I mean hell what the room:)

  9. Tom says:

I figured money would be on your list. Really surprised pets are on the list.

    1. Zac Johnson says:

Pets is a good one. You don’t really think about money with you see dogs and cats, but just think about how much is spent on food, grooming, medical and toys.

  10. David says:

Thanks Zac, I have learned a lot from you in the past couple months. I’ve really enjoyed reading you blog and have successfully started making money online by following some of your tips!

    1. Zac Johnson says:

Thanks, appreciate it. While most of the trends are growing, pets continue to be a constant. PetSmart actually just posted some great quarterly numbers, so business is booming for them as well!

  12. Goa Carnival says:

Totoally agreed, all are some great niches which always attracts people attention. If I have to choose then I go Coupons site. People love to discover discount coupons so that they can get some off on their purchase.

    1. Zac Johnson says:

When someone goes to Google and searches for a brand name + coupons, they are already in buying mode. It’s a great way to make money online.

Health, love and money are great “ever-green” topics. You need to find a small niche in these big topics and you can earn a nice income online.People are always going to be interested in their health, finding love and making more money.

  18. Erwin Miradi says:

Really a nice post Zac. These niches will always live. I tried to compete in Weight Loss competition. Well, I didn’t realize that it was one of the hardest competition on internet. Gonna need a lot of money and time to invest.

  19. Some great tips there Zac. I should definitely look into making some niche websites about these topics. Thanks for the ideas.

  20. enoch says:

Funny, I read a post here about a month ago saying you can’t make money in the make money niche. Yes, I know this is a guest post and I think the other was a guest post also.

But maybe someone needs to review what they post if only to make sure of contradictions.

  21. I am in 2 of the niches you mentioned and have yet to make any real significant money. Then again I have only been in it for a few months so I need to get back to work!

  22. Matt Banning says:

Yeah, I really like the pet niche. I myself, own 3 dogs and believe me, i spend a lot of money on them. I also believe that people will continue to buy pet products online as a way of convenience. Either way, thank you John and great articles as always.

  23. kurt says:

I am in 2 of those niches they really do offer the potential for long term revenue and traffic.

    1. PPC Ian says:

Agreed, this is a great list of verticals for the long term, especially when it comes to affiliate marketing.

  24. PPC Ian says:

Great list, neat to see pets on there. Out of all these verticals, that’s one I have little/no experience with. Thanks for sharing!

  25. Divya says:

you are right, my suggestions are dating, make money and weightloss are the most ones.

  26. Lalit says:

Excellent list and I am in none of the above niches and therefore I think a lot of opportunity for me to enter into any one of the above and earn a little bit of money. Thanks for sharing the great ideas.

  27. red says:

I love writing pets. Now I have website about poultry and fish. Is the niche good?

  28. These are really good niches and I have noticed many people on Hubpages writing about these same topics because they get so much traffic.

I have found success writing about hairstyles, I actually stumbled upon it when I wrote a hub on hubpages about short hairstyles for round faces and was blown away by the traffic.

Thanks for the tips I may try the Pets niche next.

  29. allan stuart says:

i prefer the pet niche.. they are many type of pet you can cover… you just need patient and perseverance… hardworking will pay off m friend 🙂

just stick whit what you do and do it consistently…

  30. Yes but it’s not possible to get rank easily in these niche.

  31. Having website on weight loss its really help to earn a lot

    1. panax says:

What do you mean bi communicated

  32. Cheolsu says:

I had registered domains related to dating and coupons before a couple of month. I will spend some dedicated time getting some unique content to those websites. With coupons and dating websites, I see a lot of competition for every other keyword.

  33. iskandarX says:

This is good, great and nice niche but it gotta ban topic in squidoo, too bad. But thank for the sharing this niche.

  34. Divya says:

i think diet, finance, businesses,AUTO ARE UNNING WELL IN THIS SEASONS

  35. These are defintely the best niches – but I love finding little obscure niches that nobody gravitate towards… That makes me feel comfortable, and I don’t have to worry about competition for a while… I know I can find my own avenue within those larger niches mentioned in the post (which Ido…)

But lately – I’m all about the micro-niche baby!
