Free Lunch At Freelance Camp Vancouver

Freelance Camp

Freelance Camp Vancouver is an opportunity for freelancers, entrepreneurs, independent business owners and individuals to come together to learn from one another, connect with opportunities by expanding their network, and finding answers to some of the questions enabling them to expand their business, start their business or develop additional income streams.

It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. The day will consist of sessions proposed by attendees and the schedule is created on site the morning of the event. Michael Kwan and I will be doing a lunch time session on how freelancers can make money online. Lunch will be provided by Mr. Happy Pho. Waves Coffee will be supplying the coffee.

Every attendee of Freelance Camp will also be receiving a .tel domain worth $19.99 courtesy of The Network Hub will provide all freelancers at Freelance Camp one free hour of meeting room use – for freelancers to meet their clients or to simply to have a quiet space to work. That’s worth $20. In addition, your admission tickets enters you into a draw to win a seminar gift certificate in the amount of $99 dollars toward seminars provided at Small Business BC and also a Start up Kit produced by Small Business BC.

You get all the above for the amazing low price of $10. And the $10 goes to charity to boot! Sounds great, right? Well, if you haven’t got your tickets then you’re out of luck because Freelance Camp Vancouver is completely sold out. However, you can try to win a couple of tickets from Snaptech Web Design.

I’ll see you this Saturday for the Freelance Camp edition of Dot Com Pho!

Sounds like a lot of fun, wish I could go!

    1. Yes most interesting part is free domain and may be you will be able to get the solutions of your queries as well or may be a business partner.

  2. There’s no such thing as a free lunch!

    1. John Chow says:

Not unless you work for Google. The lunch is free there. Lunch at Freelance Camp will cost you $10. 🙂

      1. Their gym is free too…I see the Google bus drive from San Francisco to Mountain View every day…

I was at Google HQ last summer …You Not ONLY get free lunch but also FREE snacks, healthy drinks, juices, soda and coffee and if you need to loose some weight after all the food you can go for a FREE swim too

        1. It makes one wonder just when do they actually work? Google undoubtedly provides one of the most creative and free working environs ever. It works for them.

When this was brought up, I started looking at positions google are hiring for. Sadly, none apply to my skills 🙁
Working there would be a dream lol. I’d rather work for myself though.

          2. How could working there be better than working for yourself? Google might have a nice working environment but surely it’s no match for what you can do on your own. It’s still a “job”, making money for their shareholders, when it comes down to it.

          3. Google actually isn’t that great of a place to work. They just do a good job covering up the dirty laundry.

          4. Perhaps other employers should learn from them and tried their employees the same way? SY

      3. lol, working at google would be amazing, i saw it on oprah.

        Makes me sad lol.

That is a lot of free stuff for ten bucks. And they have the opportunity to get a copy of Make Money Online: Roadmap of a Dot Com Mogul signed by both authors too!

    1. You never missed to add about the book Michael.

  4. Great event, can you elaborate more on the benefit / disadvantage of using a .tel domain? They seem to be quite new? SY

    1. d3so says:

I would like to know as well.
And since they’re giving them away for free the this event, are they free for LIFE or one-year?

      1. I would think for one year, free for life would be a bit costly. 😉 SY

  5. Mike Saf says:

I’ll most likely see you there. Thanks for the invite.

Hey John, thanks for letting people know about the contest!

Indeed, it looks like Freelance Camp is going to be great. We had a few thoughts on the contest and the winner was @JuliaVuACN. Here’s our post on the tickets’ draw

Ironically, we had a little mixup and now we’re the ones with no tickets…

    Cheers, Jose
