Free WordPress Installation Service – Start Your Blog Today

written by John Chow on January 30, 2011

The Ultimate Online Profit Model

One of the most common complaint (or excuse) I hear from potential new bloggers is they don’t know how to install WordPress. Terms like FTP and CPanel are like a foreign language and setting up a database might as well be setting up the space shuttle for a launch.

Because of the technology barrier, many would be bloggers never start their blogs. If you’re in this situation, then you’ll be happy to know about my new free WordPress installation service.

It’s really simple. I will install and set up a WordPress blog for you at no cost to you. Not only that, I will also install for free the following plugins to get your blog started on the right foot:

  • All In One SEO
  • Google Sitemap
  • W3 Total Cache
  • Show Top Commentators
  • Stats
  • Akismet
  • After The Deadline

All In One SEO is the ultimate SEO plugin for WordPress and will help your blog rank higher with the search engines. In addition, I’ll set up your new blog with search engine friendly URLs. Google Sitemap will help get your blog pages indexed quickly on Google. W3 Total Cache will make your blog load a lot faster and handle more traffic. Show Top Commentators encourages readers to comment on your blog. WP Stats will let you know who is visiting your blog. Akismet kills off the comment spam and After The Deadline will proof read your blog post for grammar and spelling. These are some of the best WordPress plugins available and they’re included free with the WordPress installation service.

What’s The Catch?

There is no catch. This program is being sponsored by HostGator. They are my official web host and host all my blogs. They are the ones paying me to do this. If you were to pay someone to install WordPress and the plugins for you, it would cost you at least $100.

To get the free WordPress installation service, all you have to do is order a web hosting plan from HostGator. Then forward me the login information to johnchow [at] and I’ll install WordPress for you. Afterwards, I’ll email you back the login information for your new WordPress blog and you can start blogging!

Click Here To Order Your New WordPress Blog

I will also include instructions on how to change all your login passwords. I will not keep any of the forwarded information from HostGator. Once WordPress has been set up, I will destroy the email.

Get 25% Off Any Web Hosting Plan

Word class web hosting doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. HostGator WordPress hosting plans start as low as $4.95 per month. However, I have a coupon code that will give you 25% off that already low price.

Simply order the your web hosting and enter coupon code JohnChow25 into the coupon field. This will reduce the price of any hosting plan by 25%.

Not only will you get your hosting at a great discount but every hosting plan at HostGator comes with $100 of Google AdWords credit that you can use to promote your new blog. Start your blog for 25% off, get WordPress and plugins installed for free and get $100 of AdWords credit. You won’t find a better web hosting deal anywhere!

If you’re ready to start blogging right now, and I mean RIGHT NOW, then head over to HostGator, order your hosting plan and I’ll get you started.

Hey John,

This is really an unbelievable deal for everybody who needs to get going. I wish I coud still take advantage of it. For those who still don’t have their own WP blog it is an unbeatable deal they should jump on right now.

PPC Ian January 31, 2011 at 12:38 am

I agree this is an unbeatable deal. This just goes to show how much John believes in HostGator. He’s really standing behind their product! I just signed up for HostGator VPS hosting and used John’s link (and coupon code).

d3so February 5, 2011 at 1:01 am

I plan on swtiching to hostgator once my hosting expires.

bear paw boots on sale February 20, 2011 at 9:01 pm

Hi d3so,

Why is that so?

There are lots of work to be done. If you have the time and knowledge, then it is okay.

Care to share which host you are using?

Camouflage Netting January 31, 2011 at 8:42 am

Now people don’t have any excuses for being unable to get a blog going.

dotCOMreport February 4, 2011 at 1:33 am

And not just any kind of blog; a WP blog.

PLR Products February 21, 2011 at 7:07 am

Hope this will make emerging bloggers to choose self hosted powerful Wordpress blogs than rely on those old-styled Blogger Blogs.

internetsalsa January 31, 2011 at 7:34 pm

“This is really an unbelievable deal for everybody who needs to get going”..I don’t think so.
John and Hostgaor will be benefiting the most out of this deal. And there is nothing wrong with that.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:08 pm

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:12 pm

John Chow February 3, 2011 at 11:33 am

Can you send me the email again. I never got it. Thanks.

dan February 3, 2011 at 3:36 pm

Hi John, I understand it is great to have people comment on each of your articles – your work is great. Regular comments show commentors are following your work but as Intenet Salas pointed out is ZK just looking to be best commentator. ZK has 14 comments out of the 83 so far in this posting and how much of them really add value to the conversation. Hey ZK discretion please.

Bob February 7, 2011 at 12:07 am

I already have the quick cache. Do i need to install W3 too? or remove the old one and install this new one?

Phil McDonnell February 11, 2011 at 12:53 am

You should not run two caches. Make sure to remove one before installing and running the other… March 23, 2011 at 7:13 pm

I’m trying to buy a best host cheap and I’ve found here your coupon code. Thanks for that.

Some of my blogs are on hostgator and they are one of the top hosting sites

Penny Bid Auction Sites January 31, 2011 at 5:20 pm

Don’t ever try DreamHost, they have improved in the last 6 months or so, but they have a pretty dismal track record.

aeroporika eisitiria February 4, 2011 at 1:48 pm

I have 5 of my sites on Dreamhost and i am pretty satisfied… But i am looking for another hosting provider atm since i need European based servers

Wireless Router Review January 30, 2011 at 5:10 pm

HostGator is the company I trust for my hosting needs as well, because they focus on the customer and are cheap. Kudos to you for helping beginners with your new service.

Penny Bid Auction Sites January 31, 2011 at 5:20 pm

I’m an affiliate of HostGator, but I’ve never used them

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:26 pm

good move and i am sure you will never regret about this decision.

dan February 3, 2011 at 3:25 pm

Why do you keep popping in your comments? Everyone has an opinion but it is like you are just making comments so people see your face and website name. I thought at once it was your site but nope. What gives?

Maquetador January 30, 2011 at 6:25 pm

it is a good service.

PPC Ian January 31, 2011 at 12:37 am

That is for sure! I just moved my blog from BlueHost to HostGator VPS hosting and it is a great host. The fact that John’s offering free WordPress installation is even better. :-)

Kai January 30, 2011 at 6:37 pm

Very generous of HostGator, do they offer 1 click install for WP?

John Chow January 30, 2011 at 8:44 pm

Yes they do.

Kirk Taylor January 30, 2011 at 6:41 pm

Great deal John. I just installed my first WordPress blog yesterday and I opted to put Thesis on top of it. Now, I’m going to add the plugins as well.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:28 pm

hostgator, wordpress and thesis you will be able to get all three at john chow.

With that you will also get trust and faith of john.

Human Development January 30, 2011 at 7:25 pm

Great John, now you will serve the free blog installation !!
Hey guys it’s a news to share in our social network because if a blog will be installed by John himself the blogger may become another “John” in future.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:33 pm

i think john should have started this service earlier.

But however this is still a right time.

internetsalsa January 30, 2011 at 7:52 pm

Will you install it for free for those who already have an account with hostgator or for those who don’t have account with hostgator?

Email List Building January 30, 2011 at 8:43 pm

Hey internetsalsa,

This is a joke this question isn’t it?

If not then read the post again and use some brain power.

internetsalsa January 31, 2011 at 7:28 pm

its not a joke question “Email List Building”
John will be getting money/referral for doing this.
I would also do it for free if someone signs up under my referral.
And there is nothing wrong with that. They would pay anyone to do it.
And you don’t have to tell me whether I have to use my brain power or not.

internetsalsa January 31, 2011 at 7:32 pm

oh one more thing….Tell some commentators to use some brain power who is just commenting to get attention and be the top commentators.

John Chow January 30, 2011 at 8:46 pm

This offer is for new HostGator customers only.

ZK@Web Marketing Tips January 30, 2011 at 8:45 pm

Awesome plan for newbies who want to start blogging

TYCP Magazine January 30, 2011 at 9:27 pm

Did you hear about Wordpress SEO? It has all the features of AIO SEO, including the Google Sitemap & more:

ZK@Web Marketing Tips January 30, 2011 at 10:27 pm

Looks like a good plugin , thanks for sharing it…

Penny Bid Auction Sites January 31, 2011 at 5:22 pm

All in One SE Zero works pretty good too.

TYCP Magazine February 1, 2011 at 10:24 am

Yeah, but Wordpress SEO has a lot more features. Using it eliminates at least 5-6 other popular plugins that people use.

Togrul January 30, 2011 at 10:01 pm

Great idea John,

you rock as always :)

Fairooz February 1, 2011 at 1:13 am

It’s great to have these free services for newbies who wants to start blogging :)

PPC Ian January 31, 2011 at 12:37 am

Thanks so much for all the great info on HostGator. I just upgraded from my shared BlueHost account to HostGator VPS level 3 hosting. I’m already enjoying the difference. I used your link to sign up and also your coupon code. I actually had HostGator tech support already transfer my site over and they did flawless work. Thanks for all the great info. :-)

John Chow January 31, 2011 at 8:44 am

Hey Ian, ya HostGator tech support is awesome. Glad you like the service.

GTA 5 January 31, 2011 at 12:54 am

Great post John! Hey I use the same plugins when I create a new WP blog, but not always Top Commentators, it depends on the theme ;)

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:39 pm

yes top commentator plugin is not for all kind of blogs.

Though if you want good number of comments and interaction than this plugin is simply for you.

Todd Lohenry January 31, 2011 at 4:18 am

Sorry, John, but I think this is a bad move for the industry and I’m not happy that my hosting provider is paying you to compete with my services…

Paul B January 31, 2011 at 8:56 am

It’s just straight up (very clever) affiliate marketing. I’m not sure what John gets per new signup but I know I get a minimum of $100 for each new signup I get with my hosts. 2 minutes to perform 1 step wordpress setup, another 5 minutes installing plugins and making sure eveyrthing is OK. Lets call it ten minutes at the most. $100 for 10 minutes work :)

Outsource the actual work for say $10-$20 an hour (or heck a few dollars if you want to outsource offshore) and you’ve got a very tidy profit margin. Simples.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:52 pm

good calculation but with that you should also consider the reputation of john as well.

Paul B February 1, 2011 at 5:28 am

Johns rep (and traffic) is where the scale comes in. You or I could do the same offer and probably get perhaps 1 or 2 a week at a push, hardly worth it, well I couldn’t be bothered anyway. However get 5+ a day and it’s a tidy addition to your income.

For somebody with enough rep in this market, whose vast majority of visitors are newbies it’s a very clever affiliate marketing strategy and should be applauded.

Fairooz February 1, 2011 at 1:15 am

Nice calculation mate :D

nintendo 3ds January 31, 2011 at 5:11 am

I think this one is a good program by hostgator!

No, Its already written there.

Sign up for a new account and you can avail this service

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:54 pm

no need to mention it that signup should only come from john’s own link only.

internetsalsa February 1, 2011 at 1:34 pm

do you work for John? or just wanted to be top commentator?

Abhishek Bharadwaj January 31, 2011 at 5:30 am

Hi John,
I came across a post on, where the author interviewed you and listed a number of your favourite plugins. These included Adrotate and several others.
Request you to install those plugins also.

John Chow January 31, 2011 at 8:53 am

Some of those plugins cost money. If you buy’re willing to buy them then I can install them.

fas January 31, 2011 at 6:24 am

Well this is internet marking at its best :p

Bob January 31, 2011 at 7:49 am

This is a big help to those who are only starting up their blog.

Kirk Taylor January 31, 2011 at 8:57 am

John, do I still need to install all in one SEO when I have installed the Thesis theme on my WP blog?

John Chow January 31, 2011 at 3:41 pm

No, you do not need All In One SEO if you’re running Thesis.

Flip January 31, 2011 at 8:35 pm

Wordpress is excellent! There are so many cool and good plugins that you can use for free too. The all-in-one SEO and Google XML sitemaps are the 2 most important plug ins for an internet marketer using wordpress

Lunarpages Review January 31, 2011 at 10:33 pm

A very nice service by John here. Yes you might be gaining some commission but still in the end the people who don’t know anything about Wordpress would be happy to get the offer.

Mark January 31, 2011 at 10:43 pm

That’s a sweet deal.

ZK @ Web Marketing Blog January 31, 2011 at 11:01 pm

this one is simply great for new bloggers because with this they will also get surety and guarantee as well.

Fairooz January 31, 2011 at 11:03 pm

That’s a great deal John.
Now how easy is it for people to set up a blog and start the job!

Neon SRT4 February 1, 2011 at 6:26 am

This Offer is Very Exciting, But i just want to ask one question?

What if i have hostgator hosting already? Anyway, that is very excellent for people who really are newbies.

John Chow February 4, 2011 at 12:18 am

This is for new HostGator customers only.

Bayseec February 1, 2011 at 9:19 am

I found out Hostgator hosting plan better than my hosting company plan. And it is cheaper as well. Too late too late…

David Ng February 1, 2011 at 10:05 am

I’ve seen other websites do this but don’t know how effective this is. I guess it works much better if you have already established relationship with your readers and they are at the same time looking for a product which you are offering.

Samantha Wright February 3, 2011 at 12:05 pm

It’s only complicated if you can’t be bothered to learn, if you can’t set up a wordpress blog how on earth are you going to commit to blogging? :)

Chris February 3, 2011 at 6:27 pm

John, another great post. I put off setting up myy blog on Wordpress for the longest time.

I had a Blogger blog that I customized and put a lot of work into, and I had even worked it up to a PR5! One day, I went to log on only to find that Google had pulled it and called it spam (which it most certainly was NOT)!

From that moment on, I knew that the only way to be safe and not lose all of my hard work was to set up a self-hosted Wordpress blog. Well, come to find out, it was much easier than I thought it would be!

In fact, I was able to do it through my Cpanel in just 2 or 3 clicks. The moral of the story is not to be afraid of something you don’t know anything about. Just learn.

aeroporika eisitiria February 4, 2011 at 1:45 pm

Nice move John

Earning 100 dollars at least from affiliate commissions and hiring someone for 20$ an hour i guess to do it

Pretty nice move

Well done!

mra February 5, 2011 at 6:56 am

This is great thing from Hostgator. They are providing these important plug-in for free.Particularly SEO and W3 are wonderful. Above all it great help from JohnChow ffor new blogger. But I am wondering if installation of these plug-ins are so difficult.

Make Money Online February 10, 2011 at 6:22 pm

yes, thats why HostGator is trusted and probably is the most popular Web Hosting Service. They are professional and are always looking for ways to improve their service ( the same applies for AWeber).

Ari Lestariono February 6, 2011 at 12:17 am

I may still have to wait and see, many things I see come and go to fast in this business, I don’t want to rush, but for newbies, better take first lesson properly

Will John shares success energy and mantra to newbies using Wordpress and Hostgator hosting account? I hope so. There will be karmic energy flowing starting now.

Thanks so much!

Mihai Herman February 11, 2011 at 11:36 am

Congrats on this awesome offer.

I really have an important question and hope that somebody can answer this: i have a blog for 6 months now at Blogger, but i want to transfer it to Wordpress. All good until i don’t know if i will loose all the SEO Juice i managed to “collect” in 6 months. I know that i can redirect the domains, but does it also redirect from the old posts-link to new posts-link??? If it’s possible, please let me know how :)

Thanks a lot,

John Chow February 11, 2011 at 11:51 am

If you had your domain name on Blogger, it will just transfer over to the domain on WordPress. If you didn’t have a domain (, then you need to put a 301 on the blogger site to have the SEO juice transfer over.

Jay Castillo February 28, 2011 at 3:49 am

Hi Mihai,

I also moved from blogger to wordpress (also hosted by Hostgator) almost 2 years ago and I managed to have all the links to my posts from my old blog in blogger ( redirect to my posts with my new domain( intact. From what I remember, you just need to make sure your wordpress permalink structure is the same as that you used in blogger and then import your posts from blogger to wordpress. Of course you have to double check afterwards as only about 90% of the post links were okay after the import. Anyway, I’m sure there are detailed instructions out there on how to do this as I found one almost two years ago. Good luck!

deejay February 13, 2011 at 12:48 am

yes, i have opened an account with your coupon sir john! unfortunately i have a problem in the activation of my account. maybe i have to prepare my passport ID

John Chow February 13, 2011 at 1:09 am

Good information for people looking to get going with a powerful wordpress blog really quickly. all the nuts and bolts included.

Mamapumpkin February 14, 2011 at 3:23 pm

I’ve used hostgator for almost 5 years now. They are fantastic! But I wish I knew you then because I wasted so much time fiddling around trying to install wordpress and let’s not even get to the plugins! LOL

Great idea, because that way more people who would like to participate more actively on the Internet.

Michael February 15, 2011 at 6:07 am

Wow John! I don’t know how you do it but this is an incredible deal. Wordpress isn’t difficult to install. But who wouldn’t take you up, I mean it is free. Are you able to do this on referral commission? If so I am impressed, any new blogger should take John up on his offer.

tj February 16, 2011 at 11:46 am

cannot get coupon code to work, and no help from HostGator. Any suggestions? New account..

John Chow February 16, 2011 at 11:56 am

Try johnchowrocks without the caps. Let me know if that works.

tj February 17, 2011 at 7:40 am

it did not work. I went ahead and purchased, but i can give you transaction # if that will help you, as far as getting credit.

Kimberly February 17, 2011 at 2:00 pm

A few days ago I used your information to set up my first Wordpress website, and ordered hosting through your site. I had to change my domain name today and started the process all over again, therefore I came back to this site to refresh my memory on the custom permalink changes you recommended, but now I can’t get to the information. Would you do me the honor of sharing it with me one more time?

John Chow February 17, 2011 at 2:28 pm
