As I prepared for my trip to Asia, I’ll be opening up the blog to a few guest posts to fill in any posting gap that may happen. This is the first time I’ve done this. Most of the time, I end up increasing my posting frequency when I’m on the road. However, since this is a month long trip, I figure having a few guest posts at the ready can’t hurt.
If you wish to submit a guest post for consideration, then send it to johnchow [at] johnchow.com. Topics can be about anything you want but you’ll have a much better chance of getting published if it’s about blogging and making money online. The article should be original and not published anywhere else on the Net. I’m looking for unique ideas, not a rehash of an old story. I get guest post submissions all the time. Most will never get onto the blog because they’re poor quality or just blatant self promotion.
Doing a guest post on a popular blog is one of the best free way to give your blog some exposure. You’ll be able to reach a very large readership and if they like what you have to say, chances are good they’ll check out your blog and maybe subscribe to your RSS feed. It’s for this reason that you should send your best work because you’ll be judged on it.

Have a great trip John!
What a incredible idea to give your readers a opportunity to be a guest writer.
The feed readers is about to reach 25K. Congrats!
John,
Have a great trip. I just started my blog, which is rather niche focused, back in August and I have learned a lot in just under a year of blogging. I will write you up a guest post that should be useful to those trying to make it in this biz. Hope you can use it.
Guest posts are always good. I should submit one and hopefully it’s worthy enough!
My problem is whenever i write a guest post and it seems to me worthy - i instantly get it published on my blog rather then gifting it to any other blogger - But am sure i will not do the same this time around.
That’s the sacrifice issue we all face, but rest assured that guest posting somewhere else will give you a valuable link back to your blog and exposure to more readers. So it’s a long-term benefit.
Actually, you will probably get more value out of your good articles if it was published on a popular blog
Why not just guest post it, and then on your blog make a post saying “I wrote a guest blog for my friend ___, it’s about ___ and you can read it here ___.”
Great idea John, you’re sure to be too busy to blog at some point on your busy vacation. Just one question, anything specific in the moneymaking realm that you would like to see a post about? I plan to write an article but I’m not sure what you have/haven’t featured in the past as I have only been an active reader for about a month now.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
What could we possibly teach about making money that isn’t already on this site? Or is that what you’re looking for!
You can definitely count me in for this! I will begin writing my draft tomorrow. It might take me a day or two of revising in order to get it up to par with your posts. Is there any specific cut-off date that we should be aware of? I don’t want to put all the work into it, and end up being too late!
Asia travel? Aren’t you going to drop by here at Philippines for some conference about blogging? I’m far from the metro but I’m willing to attend if you make some conference.
You already have too many guest posts on this blog … Because every time I see another guest post … Now with you gone I wonder how this blog will turn out …. Because before it was 75% guest post and now it will be 90% guest post …
maybe we should name this guestpost.com rather than johnchow.com …………..
Perhaps. But you just came up with a great idea!
What a great opportunity, John!
I’ve submitted my article, and I hope you enjoy it. Have an awesome trip!
John,
I was already working on some guest posts for you. Look for it soon. Have a good trip.
Allen
I wish to grab this opportunity.
Was the e-mail address “johnchow@johnchow.com” ? I am looking forward to post onto your blog John !
Good luck on your trip!
Please publish my guest post.
Have a good trip John! Although I will try to submit a guest post if time permits but looking forward to reading a lot more by the like-minded on your blog very soon.
I will try to write a good post that will be suitable for your blog. I am sending it soon!!
I will probably send you one quest post too!
Have a great trip!
hi john … have a good month traveling. stop by India if you can. the stay is on me
. it takes me a while to research each topic i write, so when the next one is ready, i’ll send it over.
john, i’ve submitted my post idea to your email. hope you enjoy ur trip to asia!
Have a good trip. I might submit something soon.
Woah! a great deal indeed. However, I have no plans on participating in it. Don’t have much experience and knowledge about blogging and about how good would be my post. So maybe I can steal some readers of yours to go to my site instead by this comment. lol! The least I can do. Hope some would really visit my site. Oh and btw, kudos to you John, you really are a blog genius.
Here’s an idea: Perhaps John should hold a contest where his readers vote on the best guest post of the ones he accepts and publishes for this Asia trip. The writer of the guest post that receives the most votes wins 10,000 Entrecard credits! Who likes this idea?? John??
A great deal indeed! A chance I wouldn’t want to pass up, but I never think I’d win so I’ll just steal some readers using your comment slot instead. lol! Visit my site please? hahaha.. How pathetic. Oh and btw, John, you really are a blog genius. Kudos to you!

I would love to do a guest post on your blog John, but clearly I have no idea on how to make money online.

not bad
Just emailed my guest post in for consideration. Seeing how I do not blog on MMO (I blog about tailgating and tailgate parties), I might be able to provide some insight from someone that is not entrenched in this niche. It’s all up to John now to decide.

It is a time for me to brush up my writing skill and fight for the posting.,thanks you John Chow for giving such a good opportunity to us.
When is the deadline?
I don’t think a travel related post will work on this site, but I’ll see what I can come up with.
Now if you on the other hand would like to do a small post about your trip to Asia when you return I would be honored to feature it on my blog as a guest post. What do you say?
Thats a clever play gal.
Hope it works
