Time to say bye bye to California and hello to Las Vegas. I’ll be flying to sin city tomorrow for the affiliate industry’s biggest event: Affiliate Summit West. I’m really stroked over this year’s ASW and plan to make the most of it. Here’s a glimpse at part of my schedule in case you want to do any John Chow spotting.
Saturday – Poker and Party
My plane lands at noon tomorrow. I may head over to the Las Vegas Convention Center to check out the last day of CES. That is, if I can find my CES badge. My calendar is pretty open until dinner so if you want to meet up, send me a message on Twitter.
I’ll be doing dinner with Timothy Sykes and then we’re either heading over to DK’s poker party at the Mirage or the Buy.at party at Mix Lounge. Most likely, we’ll do both.
Sunday – The Fun Really Begins
Sunday is going to be interesting because Shoemoney and I have overlapping sessions. Shoe is doing a two hour session on Blog Monetization that goes from 11AM to 1PM. I am doing a panel session on Blogger Outreach that goes from 12:30 to 1:30. I recommend everyone to leave Shoe’s session at 12:30 and head over to the next room for my session!
Since my session starts later, I’ll have a chance to check out Shoe’s session. One thing’s for sure, if Shoe goes on stage wearing another fruity tracksuit, he’s getting another rocket attack!
Sunday is also the day of the Affiliate Meet Market. Merchants will have tables set to meet with affiliates to discuss their affiliate programs and cut deals. Vendors that cater to affiliates and merchants will also have tables to share information about their products and services. Each table is a meeting spot for teaching, learning, closing deals, creating partnerships and finding new opportunities.
Monday – Affiliate Summit Tip-Off Party
The night of the Affiliate Summit Tip-Off Party is also the night of the BCS National Championship Football game which historically is one of the busiest nights of the year in Vegas. As a result, The Palms Hotel is requiring that we wristband all party attendees mainly to avoid random non-industry folk from making their way up to the exclusive Fantasy Tower.
To help you avoid the line up at the Palms, you can pick up your wristband at Sunday’s Meet Market at one of the following two locations:
- Hybryd Ads – Meet Market Table #51
- Infinite Traffic – Meet Market Table #6
The party starts at 10PM. Get there early because once it’s packed. It’s packed. See you there!

Oh wow, I kind of figured. I just found out tonight. I am still going to go to Vegas though. I may get lucky if they open up reg again but doubtful. I guess I will just have to try and make it into the parties. Thanks for your reply and assistance though.

So will not know for 4 more hours if I get it or not. Uggg. I still have hope something will come through.
